Noise colors explained

White noise has equal energy at every frequency and sounds like hiss. Pink noise falls off toward the high frequencies and sounds softer, like steady rain, and brown noise is deeper still, like a distant waterfall. Many people find pink or brown noise easier to sleep or focus with than white noise.

Test and utility sounds
