Check your setup before a call

Run the webcam and microphone tests before a video call or recording to confirm the right device is selected and that your browser has permission to use it. The video call test checks both together, and the permissions checker shows what your browser currently allows.

If a device isn't detected

Make sure no other app (Zoom, Teams, OBS) is holding the camera or microphone, allow access when the browser asks, and check the site permissions in your browser's address bar. On laptops, look for a physical camera shutter or a function key that turns the camera or microphone off.
