The scoring model
Every pair is scored with the same transparent rules, so the chart is consistent and symmetric. The main factor is the aspect: how many places apart the two signs sit on the zodiac wheel.

The element pair then nudges each category: two Air signs gain in communication, two Earth signs in trust, two Fire signs in love but lose a little trust, and so on. Two fixed signs get a bonus for loyalty (trust) and a penalty for stubbornness (communication).
Worked example: Aries and Leo
Aries and Leo are four signs apart, a trine, giving base scores of 92 (love), 90 (friendship), 88 (communication) and 86 (trust). Both are Fire signs, which adds +4 to love and +2 to friendship and takes 4 from trust, giving 96, 92, 88 and 82. They have different modalities (cardinal and fixed), so there is no modality adjustment. The overall score is 0.35 × 96 + 0.25 × 92 + 0.20 × 88 + 0.20 × 82 = 33.6 + 23 + 17.6 + 16.4 = 90.6, shown as 91%.

Frequently asked questions
How is zodiac compatibility calculated here?
Each pair gets a base score from the angle between the two signs on the zodiac wheel: trines (same element) score highest, then sextiles (compatible elements), opposites and same-sign pairs, while squares score lowest. Small adjustments for the element pair and for shared modality give separate love, friendship, communication and trust scores. The overall score weights love 35%, friendship 25%, communication 20% and trust 20%.
Which zodiac signs are most compatible?
In this model, signs of the same element score highest: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius (Fire); Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn (Earth); Gemini, Libra and Aquarius (Air); Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces (Water). Fire-Air and Earth-Water pairings two signs apart also score very well.
Which signs are least compatible?
Signs three places apart (a square), such as Aries and Cancer, Taurus and Leo, or Gemini and Virgo, get the lowest scores. They share a modality but have clashing elements, which astrologers associate with friction.
Is the result the same in both directions?
Yes. Aries and Leo give exactly the same score as Leo and Aries, so the chart is symmetric along its diagonal.
Does a low score mean a relationship will fail?
No. This is entertainment based on traditional astrological ideas, and there is no scientific evidence that sun signs predict compatibility. Real relationships depend on communication, shared values, respect and effort.
