Ideas for great friendship quiz questions
The best questions are ones your close friends could answer but casual acquaintances would have to guess. Mix easy favorites with a few surprising ones.
| Type | Example question | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Favorites | What is my favorite food? / color? / season? | Easy warm-up; most good friends know these |
| Habits | When do I usually go to bed? What do I do when I am stressed? | Only people who spend time with you know them |
| Would I rather | Which superpower would I pick? Big city or small town? | Fun to guess and starts conversations |
| Shared memories | Where did we first meet? What was our funniest trip? | Rewards real friends; write these yourself |
| Dreams | What is my dream job? Where would I travel first? | Shows who listens to your plans |
| Little-known facts | Which chore do I hate the most? What is my biggest fear? | Tough final questions that separate best friends |
Tips for a fun quiz
- Make wrong answers believable. If the right answer is "Pizza", use other foods you also like as the options.
- Keep it kind. Avoid questions that could embarrass you or your friends if the answer is shared.
- Do not share private details. Skip addresses, passwords, birthdays or anything you use as a security question.
- Mix up the answer order. Do not always put the right answer first.
- Make it a party game. Share the link in a group chat and compare scoreboards afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a 'how well do you know me' quiz?
Type your name, then go through the questions and tap the circle next to the answer that is true for you. You can rewrite any question or answer, swap questions with the dice button or add your own. Press Create quiz link and send the link to friends.
Do my friends need an account or an app?
No. The quiz opens in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Friends just type their name and start answering; nothing needs to be installed and nobody has to sign up.
Where are my quiz and my friends' answers stored?
The quiz, including your answers, is encoded inside the link itself, so there is no server copy. Your draft is saved only in your own browser. Friends' scores reach you only when they send you their result link, and your scoreboard is kept on your device.
Can friends cheat by looking at the link?
The answers are encoded, not encrypted, so a determined, tech-savvy friend could decode them. For a fun game between friends that is rarely a problem; the quiz is meant for laughs, not as a secure test.
How is the friendship score calculated?
Each question is worth one point. The score is the number of correct answers divided by the number of questions, as a percentage. 100% is Best friends forever, 80% or more True friend, 60% Good friend, 40% Getting to know each other, and below that Time to hang out more.
Can I change my quiz after I share it?
Each link is a snapshot of the quiz when you created it. If you edit your questions, press Create quiz link again and share the new link; the old link keeps the old questions.
How many questions should a friendship quiz have?
Ten questions is a good length: long enough to be a real test, short enough to finish in a couple of minutes. You can use anywhere from 3 to 20 questions.
