    2. Add the players by typing each name and pressing Add, and pick points or ten-fingers scoring.
    3. Read the prompt out loud: “Never have I ever…”.
    4. Tap I have for every player who has done it. Tap again if someone tapped by mistake.
    5. Press Next question to continue, or Previous to go back. The player with the most points (or fingers left) wins.

    Clean set vs Party set

    SetPromptsThemeExamples
Clean60Everyday experiences and childhood memories, ideal for kids, classrooms and families…built a blanket fort. …seen a shooting star. …accidentally called a teacher “Mom”.
Party60Funny, relatable mishaps for teens, adults and office parties…pushed a door that said “pull”. …looked for my phone while holding it. …clapped when a plane landed.

    Scoring options

Points: every prompt you have done is worth one point. After 20 prompts, the player with the highest score is crowned the most adventurous. This version is friendlier for kids, because nobody is ever “out”.

Ten fingers: the traditional rules. Everyone starts with ten fingers up and lowers one for each prompt they have done. When you reach zero you are out, and the last player with fingers left wins. With 60 prompts in a set, a typical group sees the first player go out after about 25 to 35 prompts.

    Tips for a great round

    • Ask for the story. When only one person taps I have, give them 30 seconds to tell what happened. That's where the best laughs come from.
    • Take turns reading. Pass the phone or tablet around so everyone gets to read a prompt.
    • Write a bonus prompt. Every few rounds, let the player in last place invent their own clean prompt.
    • Keep it kind. Anyone can pass on a prompt, and nobody has to explain an answer they don't want to share.

    Frequently asked questions

How do you play never have I ever?

Players take turns reading a prompt that starts with “Never have I ever…”. Everyone who has done the thing scores a point, or in the classic version puts down one of their ten fingers. In points mode the most experienced player wins; in fingers mode the last player with fingers up wins.

    Are these questions clean?

Yes. Both sets are written to be suitable for school, work and family game nights. The Clean set covers everyday experiences like building a blanket fort or seeing a shooting star, while the Party set is about funny, relatable mishaps like pushing a door that says pull. There's nothing about drinking, dating or anything risky.

    Will prompts repeat?

No. Each set is shuffled into a deck, and you'll see all 60 prompts once before it reshuffles. Use Previous to go back to a prompt you already played; it keeps the same taps.

How does the point counter work?

Each player can be marked once per prompt with the I have button. The score is the number of prompts they have done. Switch to ten-fingers mode to show how many fingers each player has left instead; it uses the same taps, so you can switch at any time.

Can we play without adding players?

Of course. Just use Next question and play with real fingers. The player list is optional and only there to make scoring easier for bigger groups.
