Turn any song into a nightcore or "sped up" version: pick a speed from 1.10× to 1.50×, which raises the pitch at the same time, add some bass boost and hear the result instantly. Save it as MP3 or WAV, or as a video with a cover image for YouTube or TikTok.

How to use the Nightcore Maker
Choose a song (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC…) or press Try a sample sound.
Set the speed: 1.25× is the classic nightcore sound; 1.10–1.20× is a subtle "sped up" version, 1.40–1.50× is extreme.
Add bass boost if the faster version sounds thin, and press Play to listen. Use Original to compare.
Download the result as MP3 or WAV.
Optional: add a cover image and title, then press Create video to get a video file for YouTube or TikTok.
Nightcore speed, pitch and length chart
Nightcore changes speed and pitch together, exactly like spinning a record faster. The pitch change in semitones is 12 × log2(speed), the new tempo is BPM × speed and the new length is length ÷ speed.

How this nightcore maker processes your song
Preview plays the original audio at a higher playback rate through the Web Audio API, so every change to speed or bass is heard instantly.
Export uses a band-limited windowed-sinc resampler, which removes the frequencies that would otherwise fold back as harsh aliasing when the audio is sped up. The length becomes length ÷ speed at the same sample rate.
Bass boost is a low-shelf filter at 100 Hz. Speeding a song up moves its bass upward too, so +3 to +6 dB brings back some of the weight.
Limiter: a fast peak limiter keeps the boosted result just under 0 dBFS so it never crackles.
Tips for a good nightcore edit
Songs with clear female vocals or synth leads at a moderate tempo (100–130 BPM) work best; already-fast songs can get frantic above 1.3×.
For a "sped up" TikTok sound, stay between 1.10× and 1.25× and leave the bass boost at +3 to +5 dB.
Export WAV if you plan to edit further, and MP3 at 320 kbps for sharing.

Frequently asked questions
What is nightcore?
Nightcore is a style of remix where a song is played faster, usually about 20–35%, so the tempo and the pitch rise together, like playing a record at a higher speed. The name comes from a Norwegian duo who released sped-up trance songs in the early 2000s. Today short "sped up" versions are very popular on TikTok and YouTube.
What speed should I use for nightcore?
1.25× is the most common setting and raises the pitch by about 3.9 semitones. 1.10–1.20× gives a lighter "sped up" feel, while 1.35–1.50× sounds very high and chipmunk-like. The tool shows the exact pitch change, new tempo and new length for any speed.
How much does the pitch go up?
Pitch rises with speed: semitones = 12 × log2(speed). 1.10× is +1.65 semitones, 1.25× is +3.86, 1.33× is about +4.94 (close to a perfect fourth) and 1.50× is +7.02, almost exactly a perfect fifth. The new tempo is the old BPM × speed, and the new length is the old length ÷ speed.
Can I speed up a song without changing the pitch?
Not with nightcore, because rising pitch is the point of the style. To change speed but keep the pitch, use the Audio Speed Changer; to change pitch but keep the speed, use the Audio Pitch Changer.
Why is MP3 export not working?
The MP3 encoder (lamejs) is downloaded from a public CDN the first time you export MP3. If it is blocked by your network or an extension, choose WAV, which needs no download and is lossless, and convert it later with the WAV to MP3 tool.
How does the cover video work?
Choose a picture (or keep the generated cover with your title), pick a size and press Create video. The song is played once in the background while the picture, a gentle beat pulse and a progress bar are recorded together with the sound, so it takes as long as the nightcore song. You get an MP4 or WebM file depending on your browser.
Is my music uploaded?
No. The song is decoded, sped up and encoded on your device, and the cover image never leaves your browser. Make sure you have the rights to any music you publish.
