How to use the Presentation Recorder
Add your slides: export your deck as PDF (File, Download or Export, PDF) and drop it on the box, or add slide images. Sample slides are loaded so you can try it first.
Choose microphone and webcam bubble, then press Test camera & mic and check the level meter while you speak.
Press Start recording. After the 3-2-1 countdown, talk through your slides and press the right arrow key or Space to go to the next one.
Pause with the button or the P key if you need a break; press Stop when you are done.
Download the video, and copy the slide timings as YouTube chapters or save them as CSV.

Tips for a clear narrated presentation
Test the microphone first. The level meter should move to the middle when you speak normally. A headset or a USB microphone close to your mouth sounds far better than a laptop's built-in microphone.
Plan about one minute per slide. A typical speaking pace is 130 to 160 words per minute; the Speech Length Calculator converts your script into minutes.
Pause instead of restarting. Press P, take a breath or check your notes, and resume; the pause is not in the video.
Use the laser pointer sparingly: rest the mouse outside the slide when you are not pointing and the dot disappears after a moment.
Keep the bubble small on text-heavy slides and put it in a corner without content.
Chapters help viewers. YouTube needs the first chapter at 0:00, at least three chapters and each at least 10 seconds long, so very quick slides may not all become chapters.
Recording a different source?
To capture a live window, a browser tab or software demo, use the Screen Recorder. To read a script while looking at the camera, try the Teleprompter Video Recorder. For a silent photo slideshow with music, use the Slideshow Maker.
Frequently asked questions
How do I record a presentation with my voice for free?
Export your slides as a PDF, drop the PDF on this page, pick your microphone and press Start recording. Talk through the slides, change slides with the arrow keys, then press Stop and download the video. Everything happens in your browser with no account, time limit or watermark.
Can I record PowerPoint or Google Slides?
Yes. Save or download the deck as PDF (PowerPoint: File, Save As, PDF; Google Slides: File, Download, PDF document; Keynote: File, Export To, PDF) and load that file. Each page becomes one slide. Animations and embedded videos are not included, because a PDF holds still pages; split an animated slide into several pages if you need step-by-step builds.
How do I show my face while presenting?
Set Webcam bubble to Circle or Rounded rectangle and choose a corner and size. Your browser asks for camera permission when you test the devices or start recording. The bubble is drawn into the video, so it appears in every player.
What are slide timings for?
The recorder notes the moment each slide appears. Copy them as YouTube chapters and paste the list into your video description so viewers can jump to any slide, or download the CSV to build a table of contents or captions. Times exclude paused periods, so they match the final video.
Which video format do I get?
Browsers record WebM (VP8/VP9 video with Opus audio) everywhere, and Chrome, Edge and Safari can also record MP4. WebM plays in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, VLC and uploads fine to YouTube; if you need MP4 for another editor and your browser cannot record it, convert the file with the WebM to MP4 tool.
Can I use a presentation clicker?
Yes. Most wireless presenters send Page Down/Page Up or arrow keys, which this page uses to change slides. Click once on the slide area first so the page has keyboard focus.
Why should I keep the tab visible while recording?
Browsers slow down drawing in background tabs to save power. The audio keeps recording, but the slide video may update less smoothly if you switch to another tab or minimize the window. Use full screen and present from this tab.
