How to use the YouTube Sponsorship Rate Calculator
Enter your average views per video, ideally first-30-day views of recent long-form uploads.
Set a base CPM and choose your niche (or a custom multiplier).
Pick the integration type and switch on usage rights, exclusivity or rush if the brand asks for them.
Add package size and commission if you sell several videos or work with a manager.
Press Calculate rate and use the rate card tables as a starting point for your quote.
YouTube sponsorship pricing formula
Base price = average views ÷ 1,000 × CPM
Adjusted price = base × niche multiplier × integration multiplier
Final rate = adjusted × (1 + usage rights % + exclusivity % + rush %)
Example: 40,000 views at a $20 CPM is $800. In a tech niche (×1.25) with a standard integration (×1.0) the rate is $1,000; adding 30% usage rights makes it $1,300.

Tips for negotiating brand deals
Send a media kit with average views, audience age and location, watch time and results from past sponsors.
Quote the format clearly: placement in the video, length, number of revisions, link in description and pinned comment.
Price extras separately: usage rights, exclusivity, Shorts cut-downs and community posts.
Get it in writing, including payment terms, deadlines, disclosure requirements and who approves the script.
Always disclose sponsorships using the platform's paid promotion setting and a clear verbal mention.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I charge for a YouTube sponsorship?
A common starting point is a CPM-based price: average views ÷ 1,000 × CPM. Many creators quote somewhere in the range of $10 to $50 per 1,000 views for a standard 60–90 second integration, then adjust for niche, audience location and what the sponsor wants. For 40,000 views at a $20 CPM that is $800 before adjustments.
Which views number should I use?
Use the typical views your recent long-form videos reach in the first 30 days, not your subscriber count or a single viral video. Sponsors look at consistent recent performance, and many will ask for screenshots of your analytics.
Why do some niches earn more?
Brands pay more to reach audiences with high purchasing power or high customer value, such as finance, software and business viewers. Broad entertainment channels often have big view counts but lower rates per view. The niche multipliers here are editable starting assumptions.
How much more is a dedicated video?
A full video about one product takes more production time and gives the sponsor far more attention, so creators commonly charge two to three times or more the price of a standard integration. The calculator uses 2.5× by default and you can change it.
What are usage rights and exclusivity?
Usage rights let the brand reuse your clip in its own paid ads, which extends its value well beyond your channel. Exclusivity stops you working with competitors for a period. Both limit your future options, so they are normally charged as an extra percentage on top of the base rate.
Do subscribers matter for sponsorship rates?
Less than views. Two channels with the same subscribers can have very different views per video, and sponsors pay for people who actually watch. A healthy views-to-subscribers ratio is still a useful signal of an engaged audience.
Should I offer discounts for multiple videos?
A modest bundle discount, often around 10% to 20%, is a common way to secure a longer partnership and steadier income. Avoid deep discounts that undercut your single-video rate.
