Get a starting point for pricing sponsored content. Choose the platform, enter followers and engagement rate, and pick the content type to see an estimated price range per post, story or video. Every assumption (rate per 1,000 followers, CPM, benchmark engagement and multipliers) can be changed.
Range = price × 0.75 to price × 1.25, plus any usage-rights add-on
Example: 45,000 Instagram followers at 3.2% engagement (benchmark 2%, factor 1.6) and $10 per 1,000 followers give a base of $720. A Reel uses a 1.3× multiplier, so the midpoint is $936 and the range is about $702 – $1,170.

Frequently asked questions
How much should an influencer charge per post?
A widely used starting point is about $10 per 1,000 followers for an Instagram feed post and about $20 per 1,000 subscribers for a dedicated YouTube video, adjusted for engagement, content type, niche and usage rights. These are rules of thumb, not market prices; treat the result as a starting point for negotiation.
How does engagement rate change the price?
Brands pay for attention, not just reach. This calculator divides your engagement rate by a benchmark for the platform and multiplies the base rate by that factor, limited to between 0.5× and 2×, so an account with twice the typical engagement can ask up to twice the base rate.
What is the CPM method?
Price = expected views ÷ 1,000 × CPM. If a video usually gets 9,000 views and the agreed CPM is $20, the base price is $180. It is useful when views are more reliable than follower counts, for example on TikTok and YouTube.
Why are stories cheaper than posts?
Stories disappear after 24 hours and usually reach a smaller share of followers, so they are typically priced lower than permanent feed posts. Video takes more production work and tends to earn more attention, so it is usually priced higher.
What are usage rights?
Usage rights let a brand reuse your content, for example in its own ads or website, for a set period. Creators commonly add a fee for this, and also for exclusivity (not working with competitors). Enter it as a percentage add-on.
What are influencer tiers?
Common labels are nano (under 10K followers), micro (10K to 100K), mid-tier (100K to 500K), macro (500K to 1M) and mega (over 1M). Exact boundaries vary between agencies.
Is this an official rate?
No. It is an informational estimate based on adjustable assumptions. Real rates depend on audience location, niche, content quality, deliverables, deadlines and negotiation.
