How the estimates work
- Sponsored post = average views ÷ 1,000 × rate per 1,000 views × engagement adjustment
- Engagement adjustment: under 2% ×0.75, 2–6% ×1.0, 6–10% ×1.25, 10% or more ×1.5
- Creator Rewards per month = average views × long videos per month × share of qualified views ÷ 1,000 × RPM
- Monthly total = Creator Rewards + sponsored post price × sponsored posts per month
Example with the default rates: 20,000 average views at 6% engagement gives 20 × ($10 to $25) × 1.25 = $250 to $625 per sponsored post. Twelve long videos at 70% qualified views is 168,000 qualified views, or $67 to $168 a month from Creator Rewards at $0.40 to $1.00 RPM.
Creator size tiers
| Tier | Followers | What usually drives the price |
|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1K – 10K | High engagement, niche audience, often product gifting or small fees |
| Micro | 10K – 100K | Average views, niche fit and content quality |
| Mid-tier | 100K – 500K | Reach, consistent views and audience location |
| Macro | 500K – 1M | Reach, brand safety, usage rights and package deals |
| Mega | 1M+ | Celebrity reach, exclusivity and negotiation |
Tier names are common influencer-marketing conventions, not official TikTok categories. Rates differ a lot between niches such as finance, beauty, gaming and comedy, so treat every result as a starting point for negotiation.
Frequently asked questions
How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
TikTok does not publish a fixed rate. Creators in the Creator Rewards Program commonly report roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, with large differences by country, niche and watch time. Only qualified views on videos longer than one minute count. Use your own RPM from TikTok Studio when you have it.
How is the sponsored post estimate calculated?
Average views ÷ 1,000 × your rate per 1,000 views, multiplied by an engagement adjustment (×0.75 below 2%, ×1 for 2–6%, ×1.25 for 6–10%, ×1.5 above 10%). This is a simple, transparent model; brands also weigh audience location, niche, usage rights and deliverables.
What are the requirements for the Creator Rewards Program?
TikTok has required at least 10,000 followers, at least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, an account in good standing, being 18 or older and living in a supported country, with original videos longer than one minute. Requirements can change, so check TikTok's current rules.
Why do views matter more than followers?
Brands pay to reach people, and on TikTok many viewers come from the For You feed, not followers. An account with 20,000 followers and 50,000 average views can be worth more than one with 100,000 followers and 5,000 views.
How do I calculate engagement rate?
Engagement rate = (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views × 100. Some people divide by followers instead; this calculator uses views, which is more common for TikTok.
Are these earnings guaranteed?
No. They are estimates for planning and negotiating, not offers or TikTok data. Actual income can be much lower or higher.
