How to use the Website Ad Revenue Calculator
Enter your pageviews per day or per month, and the monthly growth you expect.
Pick a method: page RPM from your ad dashboard, ad CPM with ads per page and fill rate, or CTR with CPC.
Set your revenue share if the rates you entered are before the network's cut.
Press Estimate revenue to see daily, monthly and yearly earnings and the 12-month projection.
Ad revenue formulas
Revenue = Pageviews ÷ 1,000 × Page RPM
Page RPM from CPM = Ad CPM × ads per page × fill rate
Page RPM from clicks = 1,000 × ads per page × fill rate × CTR × CPC
Net earnings = gross revenue × your revenue share (skip if your dashboard already shows your earnings)
Daily pageviews are converted to monthly with 365 ÷ 12 = 30.42 days, and the 12-month projection grows traffic by your monthly growth rate, compounding each month.

What moves your RPM
Niche: topics close to purchases (finance, insurance, software, home improvement) attract higher bids than general entertainment.
Audience location: visitors from the US, Canada, UK and Australia usually earn several times more than visitors from lower-income markets.
Season: Q4 is the strongest quarter; January is typically the weakest.
Viewability and speed: ads that are actually seen earn more, and fast pages keep visitors reading more pages per session.
Device mix: desktop often pays more per impression, while mobile brings more volume.
Use the estimate for planning, then replace the inputs with real numbers from your ad network once you have a few weeks of data.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate website ad revenue?
Revenue = pageviews ÷ 1,000 × page RPM. Page RPM is what you earn per 1,000 pageviews; ad networks show it in their reports. With 100,000 monthly pageviews and a $12 RPM you would earn about $1,200 a month.
What is the difference between page RPM and CPM?
CPM is the price for 1,000 ad impressions. Page RPM is your revenue per 1,000 pageviews, which combines every ad on the page and how many of them were filled. With three ads per page at a $4 CPM and 85% filled, page RPM = $4 × 3 × 0.85 = $10.20.
What is a good RPM for a website?
It varies widely. Ad-network dashboards commonly show page RPMs from a few dollars on general entertainment sites to $20-$50 or more in finance, insurance, software and other high-value niches with mostly US traffic. Your own dashboard figure is the best input.
How much does a website with 100,000 pageviews make?
At page RPMs between $5 and $25, 100,000 monthly pageviews would earn roughly $500 to $2,500 a month. Niche, audience country, season and ad layout move the figure most.
Why is ad revenue lower in January?
Advertisers spend heavily in the fourth quarter for holiday shopping, which pushes CPMs up in October-December. Budgets reset in January, so RPMs often drop noticeably at the start of the year.
How can I increase my ad revenue?
Grow traffic from high-value countries, write for commercial-intent topics, improve page speed and Core Web Vitals, use well-placed responsive ad units without overloading pages, and consider premium ad management networks once your traffic qualifies.
Does adding more ads always raise earnings?
Not necessarily. Extra units lower viewability and CPMs, slow pages and can increase bounce rates, which reduces pageviews and search rankings. Test changes and watch page RPM and session depth together.
