Frequently asked questions
Is this dice roller really random?
Yes. Every die uses your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator with no bias, so each face of a die is equally likely, just like a fair physical die.
What does 2d6+3 mean?
It's standard dice notation: roll two six-sided dice (2d6), add them together, then add 3. 1d20 means one twenty-sided die, and d% or 1d100 is a percentile roll from 1 to 100.
How do I roll with advantage or disadvantage?
Use the Advantage preset (2d20kh1), which rolls two d20s and keeps the higher one, or Disadvantage (2d20kl1), which keeps the lower one.
How do I roll stats with 4d6 drop the lowest?
Use the preset or type 4d6kh3. Four six-sided dice are rolled and the three highest are added together; the dropped die is shown faded.
Can I roll different dice at the same time?
Yes. Tap several dice types to build a pool, for example 1d20 + 2d6 + 1d4, then press Roll dice. Each die is shown separately and added to the total.
What are the odds of rolling a 6?
On one fair six-sided die the chance is 1 in 6, about 16.7%. With two dice, the most likely total is 7 (6 out of 36 combinations, about 16.7%), while 2 and 12 each have just a 1 in 36 chance.
