- Pick a background preset, or set your own gradient colors and angle.
- Adjust padding, corner radius and shadow until it looks right.

- Choose an output size such as 16:9 for slides or 1:1 for social posts, then Download PNG or Copy image.
Recommended settings for common uses
| Where you post it | Output size | Padding | Style tips |
|---|---|---|---|
| X (Twitter), LinkedIn feed | 16:9 or 1:1 | 60–100 px | Bright gradient, medium shadow |
| Instagram post | 1:1 or 4:5 | 80–140 px | Bold gradient, strong shadow |
| Slides (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides) | 16:9 | 60–120 px | Match the slide theme color |
| Docs, README, help center | Auto | 24–48 px | Light solid background, soft shadow |
| Product Hunt / landing page | 16:9 or 4:3 | 80 px | Browser frame with your real URL |
16:9 at 1920 × 1080 px and 1:1 at 1080 × 1080 px are the most widely accepted sizes. If your screenshot is small, choose the 2× export scale so the final image is crisp on high-resolution screens.
How to take a clean screenshot first
- Windows: press Win+Shift+S, drag a region, and it is copied to the clipboard. Then press Ctrl+V on this page.
- Mac: press Cmd+Shift+4 and drag (add Ctrl to copy instead of saving a file), or Cmd+Shift+4 then Space to capture one window.
- Chrome DevTools: Ctrl+Shift+P (Cmd+Shift+P), type "screenshot" and choose Capture node or Capture full size for pixel-perfect page shots.
- Phones: press power + volume up (Android and iPhone with Face ID), then share the image to your computer.
Crop away browser toolbars and personal tabs before beautifying, or let the built-in browser frame replace them with a neutral address bar. Hide email addresses, tokens and names; this tool never uploads your image, but the people you share it with will see everything in it.
Design tips
- Pick a background that contrasts with the screenshot: a light UI pops on a saturated gradient, a dark UI on a soft pastel.
- Keep the corner radius close to the real app (8–16 px for most web apps, around 12 px for macOS windows).
- Use the same preset for every image in a launch post or documentation set so they look like a series.
- Want custom colors? Design a gradient with the CSS Gradient Generator and copy the two colors here. For a simple frame around a photo, try Add Border to Image.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make my screenshots look professional?
Give them breathing room and depth: put the screenshot on a soft gradient background with 60–100 px of padding, round the corners by 10–16 px and add a soft shadow. A browser frame makes web app screenshots instantly recognisable. This tool does all of that in one step.
What size should I use for Twitter/X, LinkedIn or slides?
16:9 works well for presentations, YouTube and wide posts on X and LinkedIn. 1:1 is safe for Instagram and most feeds, and 4:5 takes more vertical space in mobile feeds. Auto simply wraps the screenshot with even padding.
Does it reduce the quality of my screenshot?
No. The screenshot is drawn at its original pixel size (or doubled with the 2× option), and PNG output is lossless, so text stays sharp.
How does Copy image work?
It puts a PNG on your clipboard, so you can paste it straight into Slack, Docs, email or a social post. It needs a browser that supports copying images (current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox do). If it is blocked, use Download PNG instead.
Can I take the screenshot with this tool?
No, capture it first with your system shortcut: Win+Shift+S on Windows, Cmd+Shift+4 on Mac (hold Ctrl to copy to the clipboard), then paste it here with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.
Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. Screenshots often contain private information, so everything is drawn locally on a canvas in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
