How to use the Baby Feeding & Diaper Tracker
Breastfeeding: tap Left or Right to start the timer, tap the other side to switch, then press Save feed.
Bottle: set the amount with + and −, choose formula or breast milk and tap Log bottle.
Diaper: tap Log wet, Log dirty or Log both. That's it.
Sleep: tap Start sleep when baby drifts off and End sleep on waking, or add a past nap manually.
Logging later? Change the Time field before tapping, then check the day's totals and history below. Download a CSV to share with your doctor.
What the daily totals mean
Total
How it is counted
Why parents track it
Feeds
Every saved breastfeed and bottle on that calendar day
Newborns typically feed often, around the clock; the count helps spot long gaps
Bottle total
Sum of all bottle amounts, in oz or ml
Useful for formula-fed or pumped-milk babies and for caregiver handoffs
Breast time
Minutes on the left and right side combined
Shows whether both sides are being used about equally
Diapers
Wet and dirty counts (a "both" counts toward each)
Wet diapers are one of the simplest signs a baby is getting enough to drink
Sleep
Total minutes of all sleeps that started that day
Helps you see patterns and plan naps
These are records, not medical advice. Every baby is different; your pediatrician or a lactation consultant can tell you what to expect for your baby's age and weight.
Tips for tired parents
Add it to your home screen. In your phone's browser menu choose "Add to Home Screen" so the tracker opens like an app. Your data stays on that phone.
Tap first, fix later. Log the diaper or start the timer right away; if something is wrong, delete the entry and log it again with the right time.
Bring the CSV to checkups. A few days of feeds and diapers answer most of the questions a doctor will ask in the first weeks.
Dim the screen at night. Turn your phone brightness down; the big buttons make one-handed logging easy while holding the baby.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remember which breast to start on?
The tracker records the side each breastfeed ended on and suggests the other side next, shown in the Next breast side card and with a Next side badge on the button. If you fed on both sides, that means the next feed starts on the side you began with less recently, a common way to alternate. If baby only fed briefly on the last side, some parents start there again or on whichever side feels fuller; follow your lactation consultant's advice.
Is my baby's data private?
Yes. Entries are saved only in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account. Because of that, clearing your browser data deletes the log, so download a CSV now and then as a backup.
Can I log a feed or diaper that already happened?
Yes. Change the Time field to when it happened before tapping the log button. For breastfeeds and sleep there are also manual entry sections where you type the minutes or the start and end times.
How many wet and dirty diapers should a newborn have?
Pediatric guidance commonly describes about six or more wet diapers a day by around day five or six, with fewer in the first days of life, and frequent stools in breastfed newborns. Patterns vary, so ask your pediatrician what is normal for your baby, and call them if you are worried about too few wet diapers.
Does the timer keep running if I close the page?
Yes. Breastfeeding and sleep timers store their start time, so if you refresh the page or close the tab and come back, the timer shows the correct elapsed time.
Can I switch between ounces and milliliters?
Yes. Use the Units selector. Amounts are stored precisely and shown in your chosen unit, using 1 US fluid ounce = 29.57 ml.
Can two caregivers share the same log?
Not automatically, because the data lives in one browser. You can keep the tracker open on a shared device, or download the CSV and send it to the other caregiver or your pediatrician.
