Counts are Unicode characters (code points). The game decides what it accepts: if a symbol is rejected or shows as a box, try another style. Name changes in the game may cost in-game items.

Check the badges: green means the style fits the limit, orange means it is too long.
Tick Show only names that fit to hide styles that are over the limit.
Add symbols from the symbol bar if you want your own combination.
Press Copy on the style you like and paste it into the nickname field in the game.

Tips for a name that fits and works
Start short. A 6 to 8 letter name leaves room for a frame on both sides within 12 characters.
Prefer one-sided tags for long names. A single prefix like 亗 or 么 costs one character, while ꧁༒☬ … ☬༒꧂ costs six.
Test readability. Teammates should still be able to read and search for your name; gothic and bubble letters look great but can be hard to type when someone wants to add you.
Mind the boxes. If a character shows as an empty box in the game, its font lacks that symbol. CJK symbols such as 亗, 乂 and 么 are usually the safest decorations.
Keep it friendly. Games remove offensive or impersonating names, so avoid copying official team names or other players' tags.
How the character count works
Each badge counts Unicode code points, the individual characters a game stores. Styled letters such as 𝐁 or 𝓢 look like one letter and count as one code point, although some systems store them internally in two code units. Combining marks, like the curve in ×͜×, count as separate characters even though they are drawn on top of their neighbors. If the game reports a different length than the badge, trust the game and choose a shorter style.
Frequently asked questions
How many characters can a Free Fire name have?
The game sets the rules, and 12 characters is the widely cited maximum for a nickname. Every symbol counts, so a frame like ꧁ ꧂ uses 2 of your 12. If the game's limit is different for you, change the Character limit box and the badges update.
How do I put a space in my Free Fire name?
Normal spaces are often not accepted in nicknames, so players use an invisible character instead. This tool replaces spaces with the Hangul filler ㅤ (U+3164), which looks like a blank. You can also copy the invisible space on its own and paste it where you want.
Why does ×͜× count as 3 characters?
It is made of two multiplication signs with a combining double breve below (U+035C) between them. The combining mark is a separate Unicode character, so the decoration uses 3 of your characters.
Why is a style rejected or shown as boxes in the game?
Games filter some characters and their fonts do not include every Unicode symbol. Math-alphabet fonts like bold or script and rare symbols are the most likely to fail. Try a simpler style such as small caps, the 亗 or 乂 frames, or the Asian style letters.
Are these fonts really different fonts?
No. They are different Unicode characters that look like styled letters, such as 𝐁 (mathematical bold capital B). That is why they keep their look when you copy and paste them into a game or app that does not let you change fonts.
Does changing my name cost anything?
In many games, including Free Fire, renaming after the first time requires an in-game item or currency, so test how a style looks before you commit to it.
Is this tool made by the game publisher?
No. This is an independent free text tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Garena or Free Fire. It only creates Unicode text that you copy yourself.
