Ways to use a whiteboard
Brainstorming: drop one idea per sticky note, then drag the notes into groups and circle the best clusters.
Teaching and tutoring: share your screen in a video call and sketch diagrams, number lines or geometry while you explain.
Planning: draw a quick user flow, a room layout or a project timeline with boxes and arrows.
Retrospectives: make three columns of notes, such as went well, to improve and actions.
How the infinite canvas works
Everything you draw is stored as vector objects with coordinates on an endless plane, not as pixels. The screen is a movable window onto that plane: panning shifts the window and zooming changes its scale, so lines stay crisp at any zoom level. That is also why the SVG export can rebuild your board exactly, and why the PNG export can render it at twice the screen resolution, cropped to the area that actually contains content.
Frequently asked questions
Is this online whiteboard really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no watermark. The whiteboard is a single web page that runs entirely in your browser, so you can open it and start drawing right away.
Is my whiteboard saved?
Yes. Every change is saved automatically in your browser's local storage, so the board is still there when you reload the page or come back later on the same device and browser. It is not stored online, so clearing your browsing data deletes it. Download a PNG or SVG to keep a permanent copy.
Can several people draw on the same board?
No. This whiteboard has no server, which keeps your content private, but it also means there is no live collaboration. To share a board, download it as PNG or SVG and send the file, or share your screen in a video call while you draw.
How big is the canvas?
The canvas has no edges: you can keep panning in any direction and zoom from 10% to 800%. The Fit button zooms out so all of your content is visible. When you export, the image is cropped to your content plus a small margin.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG export?
PNG is a pixel image at twice the screen resolution, ideal for slides, chat apps and documents. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size and can be edited in design programs such as Inkscape, Illustrator or Figma.
How does the eraser work?
The eraser removes whole objects: any stroke, shape, note or text it touches disappears. This keeps the board tidy and every erase can be undone with Ctrl+Z.
Which keyboard shortcuts are available?
V select, H hand, P pen, L line, A arrow, R rectangle, O ellipse, T text, N sticky note, E eraser. Ctrl+Z undoes, Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes, Delete removes the selected object, + and − zoom and 0 resets the zoom to 100%.
