How to use the Invitation Card Maker

    1. Pick a template for your occasion and choose the card size.
    2. Fill in the Event details: title, guest of honour, host, date, time, venue, RSVP and a note. The card updates as you type; leave a field empty to hide that line.
    3. Fine-tune the design. Click any element to change its font, colour or size, add extra text or a photo, or shuffle the decorations.
    4. Check the preview and use Undo if something goes wrong.
    5. Download a PDF to print at home or a PNG to share by message or social media.

Formal wedding invitations traditionally spell out the date and time in words (“Saturday, the twelfth of September, at four o’clock in the afternoon”), while casual invitations use numerals.

    How the event details work

Lines on each template are linked to the Event details fields with placeholders such as “Hosted by {host}” or “RSVP {rsvp}”. When you type in a field, every linked line updates and the text below moves up or down to make room, so long venue names do not overlap the next line. If you clear a field, its whole line disappears, which is handy when there is no guest of honour or no note. Switching to another template keeps the details you typed.

    Printing tips

    • Use matte card stock of 250–300 g/m² (about 90–110 lb cover) for a sturdy card; check your printer’s maximum paper weight.
    • Print the PDF at 100% (Actual size) so the card keeps its exact dimensions.
    • Do a test print on plain paper first and check spelling, the date and the address.
    • For photo-print shops, upload the PNG and choose the matching print size (4 × 6 or 5 × 7).

    Frequently asked questions

What size is a standard invitation card?

The most common size is 5 × 7 in (A7 envelope). 4 × 6 in is popular for postcards and photo-print invitations, and A6 (105 × 148 mm) is standard in Europe. Square images work best for sending on WhatsApp or Instagram.

How do I print invitations at home?

Download the PDF and print it at 100% (Actual size) on card stock. To print several on one sheet, use your printer dialog’s "multiple pages per sheet" option or open the PNG in a photo-printing app and choose the 5 × 7 or 4 × 6 print size.

    What should an invitation include?

Who is hosting, what the event is, who it honours, the date and start time, the full address, how and by when to RSVP, and any notes such as dress code, parking or gift preferences. The detail fields follow this order.

    When should invitations be sent?

As a guideline, send birthday and party invitations two to three weeks ahead, baby shower invitations four to six weeks ahead and wedding invitations six to eight weeks before the date, with save-the-dates months earlier.

Can I edit the text directly on the card?

Yes. Click a line and edit it in the Selected element panel. Lines linked to the event details become ordinary text once you type in them, so they are no longer changed by the detail fields.

    Is it free and private?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark, and your details and photos stay in your browser because everything is drawn on your device.
