Every stroke you draw is repeated around the center, so simple lines turn into mandalas, snowflakes and kaleidoscope patterns. Choose 1 to 24 segments, turn mirroring on or off, pick a brush and color, and save your artwork as a PNG.

How to use the Symmetry Drawing Tool
Choose the symmetry: drag Segments or tap a preset such as Mandala (8 segments, mirrored).
Pick a brush and color. Neon glow looks great on the dark background; Rainbow changes color as you draw.
Draw from near the center outward. Each stroke is copied around the center in real time.
Fix mistakes with Undo (Ctrl+Z) or the eraser, which also erases symmetrically.
Save your art with Download PNG (keeps transparency if chosen) or Download JPG.

Tips for beautiful mandalas
Work in rings. Start with a small shape at the center and build outward ring by ring. Concentric circles drawn with low opacity make good guides you can draw over.
Vary the line weight. Thick outlines for the main shapes and thin lines or dots for detail give depth.
Use a limited palette. Two or three colors that harmonize look calmer than many random colors; Rainbow mode is fun for neon kaleidoscopes.
Neon on dark. Switch the background to Night and use the Neon glow brush for a light-painting effect.
Coloring pages. Draw with the black pen on white, download the PNG and print it to color by hand.
How the symmetry is calculated
For n segments, each point of your stroke is rotated around the center by multiples of 360° ÷ n. With mirroring on, every rotated copy is also reflected across its segment axis, giving 2n copies that form a dihedral pattern, the same kind of symmetry produced by the angled mirrors inside a kaleidoscope.
Frequently asked questions
What is a symmetry drawing tool?
It is a drawing canvas that repeats every stroke around a center point. With radial symmetry, a stroke is rotated into each of the chosen segments; with mirror symmetry it is also reflected, like the images in a kaleidoscope. This makes it easy to draw balanced mandalas, rosettes and snowflakes freehand.
What is the difference between radial and mirror symmetry?
Radial (rotational) symmetry copies a stroke by rotating it, for example 6 copies 60 degrees apart, so the pattern looks like a pinwheel. Mirror (reflective) symmetry also flips each copy, so every segment is the mirror image of its neighbor. Mirror on with 1 segment gives simple left-right symmetry, and with 2 segments gives 4-way symmetry.
How many segments should I use for a mandala?
Mandalas commonly use 8, 12 or 16 mirrored segments, which gives 16, 24 or 32 matching wedges. Fewer segments (3 to 6) produce bold, open designs; 12 or more make fine, lace-like detail. A snowflake has 6-fold symmetry, so use 6 segments with mirroring on.
Can I change the symmetry while drawing?
Yes. The symmetry applies to new strokes only, so you can draw an inner ring with 8 segments and then switch to 16 for a more detailed outer ring. Changing the setting never changes what you have already drawn.
What size is the downloaded image?
The canvas is 1080 × 1080 pixels, a square format that suits social media posts, profile pictures and printing up to about 3.6 inches at 300 DPI. PNG is lossless and can keep a transparent background; JPG is smaller and always has a background (white if you chose transparent).
Does it work on a tablet or phone?
Yes. You can draw with a finger or stylus; touching the canvas draws instead of scrolling the page. Undo, brushes and symmetry settings work the same as on a computer. Your drawing stays in the page and is never uploaded, so download it before leaving.
