Create clean animated lower thirds, the name-and-title bars that introduce people in videos, interviews and live streams. Pick a template, colors, font and animation, watch the live preview, then export a transparent WebM, a PNG frame sequence for any video editor, or a URL for an OBS browser source.

The WebM keeps transparency in Chrome and Edge (VP8/VP9 with alpha). If your editor or browser shows a black background, use the PNG sequence, which every editor imports as transparent frames.
Add a Browser source with this URL at 1920×1080. Toggle the source's visibility (or enable “Refresh browser when scene becomes active”) to play the animation again.

Choose a template, then adjust the colors, font, position and size while the preview plays.
Set the animation: style, in/out duration and how long it holds on screen.

Design tips
Keep it short. A name plus a role of 2-5 words reads in the 3-5 seconds a lower third is usually on screen.
Respect the safe area. The templates leave about 110 pixels at the sides and 120 at the bottom of a 1080p frame so nothing is cut off on TVs or covered by player controls.
Show it early, then remove it. Bring the lower third in a second or two after the person starts talking and hold it for about 4 seconds.
Use contrast. Text on the accent color automatically switches between dark and light for readability; check the preview on the sample scene and dark backgrounds.
Frequently asked questions
What is a lower third?
A lower third is a graphic placed in the lower part of the screen, usually showing a person's name and role, a location or a topic. The name comes from the traditional layout that keeps it within the bottom third of the frame so it doesn't cover faces.
Does the WebM really have a transparent background?
In Chrome and Edge, the canvas is recorded with VP9 or VP8 including an alpha channel, so the background stays transparent in editors that support WebM alpha, such as DaVinci Resolve, Kdenlive, Shotcut and browsers. Some editors and other browsers ignore the alpha and show black; in that case use the PNG sequence.
How do I use the PNG sequence in a video editor?
Unzip the file and import the numbered frames as an image sequence: in Premiere Pro tick Image Sequence in the import dialog, in DaVinci Resolve drop the folder into the media pool, in Final Cut Pro or iMovie convert it first with a tool that builds a video from images, and in After Effects import as PNG Sequence. Set the frame rate to the one you exported.
How do I add the lower third to OBS?
Choose Animate in and stay, Play once or Repeat under In OBS, copy the URL and add a Browser source with width 1920 and height 1080. Every setting is stored in the URL. To play the animation again, hide and show the source or enable Refresh browser when scene becomes active.
Which fonts can I use?
The generator uses fonts already installed on the computer, grouped into styles such as clean sans, rounded, condensed and serif, so it works offline and in OBS without downloads. The exact font can differ slightly between Windows, macOS and Linux; export on the same computer you edit or stream with for a consistent look.
What resolution and frame rate should I export?
Match your video project. Most YouTube and streaming projects use 1920×1080 at 30 or 60 fps; use 25 fps for PAL-region broadcasts and 24 fps for film-style projects. The 4K option is available for PNG sequences.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The preview, the WebM recording and the PNG frames are all rendered in your browser with the HTML canvas and saved directly to your computer.
