Tips for a professional intro
Use two or three colors from your logo or channel art. The palette buttons give balanced starting points; then fine-tune the accent color.
Keep the title short. A channel or brand name of one to three words reads instantly; long titles are scaled down to fit.
Keep the same intro on every video. Repetition is what makes it recognisable.
Mind the volume. Intros are often louder than the speech that follows; 60 to 80% volume usually blends well.
Export a PNG still of the finished frame to reuse as a thumbnail background or channel banner element.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a video intro be?
Short. Most creators keep intros between 3 and 7 seconds so viewers reach the content quickly, and many put a brief hook before the intro. This tool makes 5 to 10 second clips; 5 or 6 seconds is a good default for an intro, while an outro end card can be 8 to 10 seconds so there is time to show next-video links.
What kind of logo works best?
A square-ish PNG with a transparent background, or an SVG, at least 500 pixels wide. JPG logos keep their background color, so a matching background color in the intro hides the edge. Without a logo the templates use a round badge with your initials.
Is there a watermark?
No. The video is drawn and recorded in your own browser, so the file you download contains only your design.
How do I add the intro to my video?
Download the intro, then put it in front of your video in any editor, or use a video merger tool to join the two files. For best results export the intro at the same shape and resolution as your main video, for example 16:9 1080p for YouTube or 9:16 for Shorts and Reels.
Can I use the sound effects in my videos?
Yes. The whooshes, hits, chimes and pads are generated by the tool from simple waveforms and noise when you press play or export, so they are not samples from anyone else's library.
Why is the video WebM in my browser?
Each browser records with its own encoder: Chrome, Edge and Safari can save MP4, Firefox saves WebM. YouTube and most editors accept both; convert WebM to MP4 if your editor needs it.
What is the outro end card for?
It is a closing screen with a thank-you title, two placeholder boxes and your logo. On YouTube you can place end-screen elements (video or playlist links) over those boxes in YouTube Studio during the last 5 to 20 seconds of a video.
