How to use the Bundle Pricing Calculator
List the items, one per line: name, price, cost and optionally quantity (for example "T-shirt, 25, 9, 3").
Choose how to price: a discount off the separate total, or a fixed bundle price.
Add any extra bundle cost such as packaging, and an optional target margin.
Press Calculate bundle to see the bundle price, savings, profit and margin.
Compare discounts in the table and pick the price that balances an attractive saving with healthy profit.
Maximum discount before a loss = 1 − total cost ÷ separate total
Price for target margin m = total cost ÷ (1 − m)
Example: a candle ($24, cost $8), matches ($6, cost $1.50) and a tray ($18, cost $6.50) total $48 separately with $16 cost. A 15% discount gives $40.80; rounding down to a .99 ending makes it $39.99, a saving of $8.01 (16.7%). With a $1.50 gift box, total cost is $17.50, profit is $22.49 and margin 56.2%, compared with 66.7% when the three items sell separately at full price.

Tips for profitable bundles
Anchor with a best seller and add complementary items with high margins.
Show the saving clearly in money and percent; customers compare against the separate total.
Mind the extra costs: gift boxes, inserts and heavier parcels reduce profit per bundle.
Track attach rate: a bundle is worth it when it raises total profit per order, not only units sold.
Frequently asked questions
How do I price a product bundle?
Add up the separate prices of the items, then apply a discount that is attractive to customers but stays well above total cost. Bundle price = separate total × (1 − discount). Check that bundle price − total cost leaves the margin you need.
What discount should a bundle have?
Many bundles offer roughly 10% to 30% off the separate total. The right discount depends on your margins: the maximum discount before you lose money is 1 − total cost ÷ separate total. Start well below that maximum.
How is bundle margin calculated?
Bundle margin = (bundle price − total cost of all items − extra bundle costs) ÷ bundle price. In the default example, $39.99 − $17.50 = $22.49 profit, a 56.2% margin, vs 66.7% if the items sold separately at full price.
Why do bundles make sense if margin goes down?
Bundles mainly raise order value and move more units per order. If a customer would otherwise buy only one item, the bundle adds profit even at a lower percentage margin. They also help clear slower products by pairing them with best sellers.
How is the bundle price split between items?
The calculator splits the bundle price in proportion to each item's separate price. This is a common way to allocate bundle revenue for reporting and for working out the profit each item contributes.
Can I use it for multi-buy deals like 3 for $60?
Yes. Enter one item with a quantity, such as "T-shirt, 25, 9, 3", choose Fixed bundle price and enter 60. You will see the saving vs buying three separately and the profit per deal.
