Choose two videos and combine them into one: side by side, stacked on top of each other or as picture-in-picture. Shift one of them in time to sync a clap or a beat, pick which sound to keep, add Before and After labels and save the result as MP4 or WebM, all in your browser.

How to use the Side by Side Video Maker
Choose video 1 and video 2. Video 1 goes on the left, on top, or fills the frame in picture-in-picture. Use ⇄ to swap them.
Pick a layout: Side by side, Stacked or Picture in picture, and set the gap, background colour and labels.
Sync the videos if they didn't start at the same moment: move the Video 2 starts slider until a clap or movement happens at the same time in both. Play the preview to check.
Choose the audio and output format, quality and size.
Press Create combined video, wait while it records in real time, then press Download video.
Which layout should I use?
Layout
Best for
Output shape with two 16:9 videos
Side by side
Before/after comparisons, two camera angles, sports technique next to a reference
32:9 (very wide, for example 2560×720)
Stacked
Phones and vertical feeds, duets, gameplay with a face cam
16:18 (almost square, for example 1280×1440)
Picture in picture
Reaction videos, commentary, tutorials with a presenter
16:9, the same as video 1
Videos with different shapes are scaled to the same height (side by side) or the same width (stacked), so a vertical phone clip next to a landscape clip makes a narrower panel rather than black bars.
Tips for syncing two videos
Clap once in front of both cameras at the start of recording. The sharp sound and the closing hands make syncing easy to spot.
Use Audio from: Both while syncing. When the offset is right the clap sounds like a single clap; if it is off you hear an echo.
For comparing two attempts of the same movement, sync on the start of the movement rather than the start of the file.
The offset can be larger than 10 seconds: type any value from −600 to 600 seconds in the number box.
Output size
Up to 1080p limits the shorter side of each video panel to 1080 pixels, and Up to 720p to 720 pixels. Very wide or tall results are capped at 3,840 pixels on the long side so that browsers can encode them. Higher sizes look sharper but make larger files and need more processing power; 720p is a good default for sharing online. To join videos one after another instead of next to each other, use the Video Merger.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put two videos side by side?
Choose the two videos, keep the Side by side layout and press Create combined video. Both videos are scaled to the same height and placed next to each other with the gap you choose. When it finishes, press Download video to save the MP4 or WebM file.
How do I sync two videos that started at different times?
Find a moment that is easy to see or hear in both, such as a clap. Pause the preview there, then move the Video 2 starts slider (or use the −0.1 and +0.1 buttons, or type an exact value) until the moment lines up. A positive value makes video 2 start later, a negative value starts it earlier by skipping its beginning.
Which sound will the combined video have?
You choose: the sound of video 1, of video 2, both mixed together, or none. The preview plays exactly the sound that will be saved.
What happens when one video is shorter?
With Length set to Longer video, the shorter video holds its last frame (or shows the background colour if you choose Background under When a clip isn't playing) until the longer one finishes. Choose Shorter video to stop when the first video ends.
Can I make a vertical split screen for TikTok or Reels?
Yes. Choose the Stacked layout to place one video above the other. Two landscape 16:9 videos stacked give an almost square frame; for a full 9:16 vertical video, use two vertical or square clips.
Why does creating the video take as long as the video?
The browser plays both videos in real time, draws them into one frame and records the result with the MediaRecorder API. A 1 minute result takes about 1 minute. Keep the tab open and visible until it finishes.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. Both videos are decoded, combined and encoded in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and no watermark is added.
