Remove unwanted pages from a PDF in seconds. Click the pages you want gone or type a range, check the thumbnails, and save a clean copy. Your file never leaves your browser.
Click or tap a page to mark it for deletion. Click it again to keep it.
How to use the Delete PDF Pages
- Open your PDF by dropping it into the box or clicking to choose it.
- Click the pages you want to remove. They turn red with an ✕. Click again to keep a page.
- Or type a range such as 2-4, 7 and press Mark pages, or use Odd, Even and Invert.
- Check the summary showing how many pages will be deleted and how many remain.
- Press Delete pages & download to save the new file as name-edited.pdf.
Page range syntax
The range box accepts the same notation used by most print dialogs. Separate items with commas; spaces are ignored. The examples assume a 12-page PDF.
| You type | Pages marked for deletion | Pages left |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 3 | 11 |
| 2-4, 7 | 2, 3, 4, 7 | 8 |
| 10- | 10, 11, 12 (page 10 to the end) | 9 |
| -3 | 1, 2, 3 (start to page 3) | 9 |
| 1, 12 | first and last page | 10 |
| 1-12 | all pages, not allowed: at least one page must stay | – |
Typing a range replaces the current selection. You can then fine-tune it by clicking individual thumbnails.
Keeping only a few pages
If you want to keep pages 5 and 6 out of 40, there is no need to mark 38 pages. Type 5-6, press Mark pages, then press Invert: everything except pages 5 and 6 is now marked for deletion. The same trick works with the Odd and Even buttons, for example to drop the blank back sides of a document that was scanned in duplex mode.
What happens to the rest of the file
The tool opens the original PDF and removes only the page objects you marked, then saves a new copy named yourfile-edited.pdf. Remaining pages are not re-rendered, so text stays searchable, vector graphics stay sharp and scanned images keep their resolution. The file size usually drops roughly in proportion to the pages removed, although fonts and images shared across pages stay in the file while any remaining page still uses them.
- Bookmarks and links that point to deleted pages stop working, because their target no longer exists.
- Form fields on removed pages are dropped together with the page.
- Encrypted PDFs with editing restrictions must be unlocked before pages can be removed.
Frequently asked questions
How do I delete pages from a PDF?
Open the PDF above, click every page you want to remove (or type a range like 2-4, 7), then press Delete pages & download. A new copy of the PDF without those pages is saved to your device. The original file is not changed.
Can I remove several pages at once?
Yes. Click as many thumbnails as you like, type ranges separated by commas, or use the Odd and Even buttons. Invert flips the selection, which is handy when you want to keep only a few pages.
How do page ranges work?
Use page numbers separated by commas. A hyphen marks a range, so 2-4 means pages 2, 3 and 4. 10- means page 10 to the end and -3 means pages 1 to 3. Spaces are ignored.
Will deleting pages reduce the quality of the rest?
No. The remaining pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Only the pages you marked are left out.
Why can't I delete all pages?
A PDF must contain at least one page, so the tool always keeps at least one. If you want to get rid of the whole document, simply delete the file itself.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and edited entirely inside your browser using JavaScript, so the document never leaves your computer or phone.
