Lossless page editing
A PDF stores each page as a separate object with its own content, fonts and images, plus a page tree that lists the order. Organizing a PDF only rewrites that list and the rotation setting of each page, so the pages themselves are copied unchanged. That is why the saved file keeps sharp text and original images, and why the result is usually about the same size as the original (smaller if you delete pages, larger if you duplicate them).
Tips for common jobs
- Scanned double-sided documents: if the back sides came out in reverse, open both scans, add them with + Add PDF and drag the pages into front/back order.
- Remove many pages at once: select them and press Delete in the toolbar, or use Delete PDF Pages to type page ranges.
- Fix only orientation: Rotate PDF offers rotate-all, odd and even page tools.
- Just joining files end to end? Merge PDF is quicker for that.
Frequently asked questions
How do I rearrange pages in a PDF?
Open the PDF above and drag the page thumbnails into the new order. On a phone or tablet, drag with the ⠿ handle in the corner of each page. When the order is right, press Save & download PDF.
Will organizing a PDF reduce quality or remove text?
No. Pages are copied into the new PDF as they are, so text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their resolution and links keep working. Nothing is converted to images.
Can I combine pages from two different PDFs?
Yes. Open the first PDF, press + Add PDF to bring in more files, then drag their pages anywhere in the document. Each page shows which file it came from.
How do I undo a mistake?
Press the Undo button or Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) to step back through your last changes, including deletions. Reset restores every original page in the original order.
Can I add a blank page to a PDF?
Yes. Select the page that the blank page should follow and press + Blank page. With nothing selected it is added at the end. The blank page uses the same size and orientation as the page before it.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
PDFs that are encrypted or need a password cannot be edited here. Unlock the file in a PDF app where you know the password, then open the unlocked copy.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read, rearranged and saved inside your browser, so the document never leaves your computer or phone.
