How to use the Word to JPG
Add your Word file. Drop a .docx document on the box or click Choose .docx file. Use Try a sample document to see how it works.
Pick the resolution. 150 DPI suits screens, slides and messages; 300 DPI is for printing.
Optionally choose pages. Type a range such as 1-3, 5 to convert only those pages.
Check the thumbnails. Click any page to view it full size.
Download a single page, or click Download all (ZIP) to save every image at once.
How the Word to JPG conversion works
A .docx file is a ZIP package of XML files: the text and formatting live in word/document.xml, styles in styles.xml, numbered and bulleted lists in numbering.xml, and pictures in the word/media folder. The converter unpacks the package in your browser and lays the document out as HTML pages using the page size and margins stored in the file. Each page is then drawn onto a canvas at the resolution you picked and encoded as a JPG.
Word itself decides page breaks while you type, and the file only stores a hint of where they fell. The converter honors manual page breaks and, where the file includes them, Word's saved break positions; when a page holds more content than fits, it measures the content and breaks between paragraphs or table rows, never through the middle of a line.
Image size for each resolution
The pixel size of each JPG is the page size in inches multiplied by the DPI.

Tips for the best images
Fonts: the images use fonts installed on your device. If your document uses a special font, install it first, or convert the document to PDF in Word and use PDF to JPG for a pixel-perfect copy.
Smaller files: choose Medium quality. Text pages compress very well, so a 150 DPI page is usually only a few hundred KB.
One long image: for a single scrolling picture of the whole document, convert to PDF and use PDF to Long Image.
Just need to read it? The DOCX Viewer opens Word files without converting them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a Word document to JPG?
Add the .docx file to the tool above. Each page is laid out like a printed page and saved as a JPG image. Then download the pages one by one or all together as a ZIP file.
Can I convert an old .doc file to JPG?
Not directly. The tool reads the modern .docx format used since Word 2007. Open the .doc file in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs and save or download it as .docx, then convert it here.
What resolution should I choose?
150 DPI gives a Letter page of 1275 × 1650 pixels, sharp on any screen and fine for sharing in chats or slides. Choose 300 DPI (2550 × 3300 pixels) if you will print the images. 96 DPI keeps files smallest.
Will the JPG look exactly like my Word document?
Very close in most cases: text, headings, tables, lists and pictures are kept. Page breaks are placed by measuring the content, so a page can end a line or two earlier or later than in Word. If a font used in the document is not installed on your device, a similar font is used.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The .docx file is unpacked and rendered by your browser, and the JPG images are created on your device.
How do I convert only one page of a Word document to an image?
Type the page number, for example 2, in the Pages box before or after adding your file. Only that page is converted.
Should I use JPG or PNG for document pages?
JPG files are smaller and accepted everywhere, which makes them ideal for sharing. For pages with very fine lines or when you need perfectly crisp text edges, convert the document to PDF and use PDF to PNG instead.
