Turn PDF pages into SVG vector graphics that stay sharp at any size. Keep the text selectable with embedded fonts, convert every letter to outlines, or save lightweight plain text, then download each page or a ZIP. Your PDF never leaves your device.

How to use the PDF to SVG
Add your PDF by dropping it in the box, choosing files, or pressing Try it with a sample PDF.
Choose how text is saved: Text + embedded fonts keeps it selectable, Text as paths makes every letter a shape for cutting machines and logos.
Pick the SVG size: PDF points matches most design apps, Actual size at 96 DPI matches the printed size on screen.
Select pages with the checkboxes or type a range such as 1-2,5.
Press Convert to SVG, check the previews, then download single pages or Download all as ZIP.
How the PDF to SVG conversion works
A PDF page is a list of drawing instructions: move here, draw a curve, fill it with this color, show these letters in that font. SVG uses the same building blocks, so most of a page can be translated one to one. The converter asks pdf.js for the operator list of each page and its SVG back-end writes every instruction as SVG elements.

Which text mode to pick
Text + embedded fonts is the closest match to the PDF and keeps text selectable and searchable. File size grows with the number of fonts on the page.
Text as paths is best for logos, stickers, signs, embroidery, vinyl and laser cutting. Every letter is an outline, so nothing depends on installed fonts.
Plain text gives the smallest files and the cleanest markup for web pages or further editing. Text is drawn with the real font name if the viewer has it, otherwise with a similar generic font.
Tips
Clean up with an optimizer. Run the result through the SVG Optimizer to remove redundant groups and shorten numbers.
Single logo on a big page? Open the SVG in a vector editor, select the artwork and use "fit artboard to selection" to drop the empty margins.
Need pixels instead?PDF to PNG renders pages as exact images at any DPI, and SVG to PDF goes back the other way.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to SVG?
Add the PDF, choose a text mode and the pages, and press Convert to SVG. Each page is translated into an SVG file in which lines, shapes and text are vector objects. Download pages one by one or all selected pages in one ZIP file.
Is the SVG a real vector file or just an image inside an SVG?
It is vector. The converter replays the drawing commands of each PDF page with the pdf.js SVG back-end, so paths, fills, strokes and text become SVG elements. Photos or scans placed inside the PDF were raster images to begin with and stay embedded as images in the SVG.
Should I keep text as text or convert it to paths?
Keep text with embedded fonts when you want it selectable, searchable and small. Convert text to paths for logos, signs, laser cutting or cutting machines, or when you send the file to someone who does not have the fonts: the letters become shapes that look identical everywhere but can no longer be edited as text.
Can I use the SVG with Cricut, Silhouette or a laser cutter?
Yes. Choose Text as paths so every letter is an outline, convert the page, and import the SVG. Cutting software reads the paths directly. You may want to delete background rectangles or ungroup shapes in the design software before cutting.
Why does my SVG look slightly different from the PDF?
SVG cannot express every PDF feature. Some blend modes, soft masks, complex shading patterns and Type 3 fonts are simplified. Text mode and the viewer matter too: plain text uses the fonts installed on the device that opens the SVG. For an exact image of the page, use PDF to PNG instead.
What size will the SVG be?
With PDF points, one PDF point equals one SVG pixel, so a US Letter page is 612 × 792. Actual size at 96 DPI multiplies by 4/3 (816 × 1056) so the SVG shows at its printed size on screen. Because SVG is vector, you can scale it later without losing sharpness.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and converted with pdf.js inside your browser. The SVG files are created on your device and nothing is sent to a server.
