Turn a DRM-free EPUB e-book into a PDF you can read on any device, print or annotate. Chapters, headings, lists and images are typeset onto real pages with the page size, font size and margins you choose, and the PDF gets a clickable contents page and bookmarks. The book is converted in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use the EPUB to PDF Converter
Add your EPUB file by dropping it on the box or clicking to choose it. The title, author, cover and table of contents appear.
Choose the page size: A5 for tablets and e-readers, A4 or Letter for printing, 6 × 9 in for a paperback look.
Set the font, font size, line spacing and margins to taste. Larger text works well for small screens.
Pick the extras: images, cover page, contents page, chapters on new pages and page numbers.
Press Convert to PDF. Long books take a few seconds; the PDF downloads when it is ready.
What happens during the conversion
An EPUB file is a ZIP archive containing the book's chapters as XHTML web pages, a package file (content.opf) that lists them in reading order (the spine), images, style sheets and a table of contents (nav.xhtml in EPUB 3, toc.ncx in EPUB 2). E-readers reflow this text to fit the screen; a PDF instead has fixed pages.
The archive is unzipped in your browser and the package file is read to find the title, author, cover, chapter order and table of contents.
Each chapter's XHTML is parsed into headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes and images, with basic styling from the book's CSS (bold, italic, centred text, first-line indents, page breaks).
The text is set into lines with real font measurements and justified, then flowed onto pages of the size you chose. Headings are kept together with the text that follows them, and images are scaled to fit.
A contents page with page numbers and links, the PDF bookmark outline and page numbers are added, and the PDF is saved.

EPUB or PDF?
EPUB is better for reading on e-ink readers because the text reflows to any screen and font size. PDF is better when you need fixed pages: printing, page numbers for citations, annotating with a stylus, sharing with people who have no e-book app, or uploading to systems that only accept PDF. To just read the book in your browser, use the EPUB Reader; to extract its text from a PDF later, use PDF to Text.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert an EPUB to PDF?
Choose the EPUB file above, pick a page size and font size, and press Convert to PDF. The book's chapters are typeset onto pages in your browser and the finished PDF downloads automatically.
Are images and the table of contents kept?
Yes. Images inside the book are placed in the text and scaled to fit the page, the cover becomes the first page, and the book's own table of contents becomes a clickable contents page plus PDF bookmarks you can open in the side panel of any PDF reader.
Can I convert e-books bought from Kindle, Kobo or Apple Books?
Only DRM-free EPUB files can be converted. Books protected with DRM are encrypted, so their text cannot be read by any converter without the publisher's key; the tool tells you when a file is protected. Many free and indie books, and those from shops that sell DRM-free, work fine.
Will the PDF look exactly like the e-book?
The PDF keeps the structure and text styling of the book: headings, bold and italic, lists, block quotes, centred text, images and page breaks. It uses standard PDF fonts (Times, Helvetica, Courier) instead of the book's embedded fonts, and complex layouts such as multi-column tables are simplified.
Which languages are supported?
Books in languages using the Latin alphabet, including accented letters (French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Scandinavian and so on), convert fully. The standard PDF fonts do not contain Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew or Asian characters, so these appear as ? and a warning is shown.
Which page size is best for reading on a tablet or e-reader?
A5 (148 × 210 mm) or 5.5 × 8.5 in with 11–13 pt text is comfortable on tablets and larger e-readers. For phones choose A5 with 14–16 pt text and narrow margins. For printing on a home printer choose A4 or Letter.
Is my e-book uploaded?
No. The EPUB is unzipped, parsed and typeset entirely in your browser, so your book never leaves your device.
