A gym-style round timer: a bell starts and ends every round, a wooden clapper warns you 10 seconds before the bell, and a big color display shows the round and time left. Pick a boxing, MMA, kickboxing or Muay Thai preset, or set your own rounds and rest.

How to use the Boxing Round Timer
Choose a preset such as Pro boxing (3:00 / 1:00 × 12) or MMA (5:00 / 1:00 × 3), or type your own round length, rest and rounds.
Set the warnings: the round warning (default 10 seconds) plays the clapper before the bell, and the rest warning tells you to get back to the center.
Press Start fight (or Space). A short get-ready countdown runs, then the bell starts round 1.
Train until the bell: two rings mean rest, one ring starts the next round, three rings mean the session is over.
Use Pause, Skip or Fullscreen any time; Fullscreen makes the clock readable from across the gym.
Round and rest times by sport
The presets use the most common professional and amateur formats. Organisations and local commissions set their own rules, so treat these as typical values rather than official ones.

Total time = rounds × round length + (rounds − 1) × rest. There is no rest after the final round, and the optional get-ready countdown is added on top.
Round timer workouts to try
Heavy bag pyramid: 6 × 2:00 rounds with 30 seconds rest. Throw only jabs and crosses in round 1, add hooks in round 2, and build combinations each round.
Fight-pace conditioning: use your competition format (for example 3 × 3:00 / 1:00) and push hardest from the 10-second clapper until the bell.
Skipping rope rounds: 3:00 rope rounds with 1:00 rest are a classic boxing warm-up that also builds footwork rhythm.
Technique rounds: longer 5:00 rounds at a calm pace for drilling footwork or pad work with a partner.
Shorten rest to progress: once 1:00 rest feels easy, try 45 or 30 seconds instead of adding more rounds.
Sounds, settings and timing all run in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Talk to a coach or doctor before starting hard contact training.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a round in boxing?
Professional men's boxing rounds are 3 minutes long with 1 minute of rest, and title fights are scheduled for 12 rounds. Most amateur boxing uses 3 rounds of 3 minutes. Professional women's boxing commonly uses 2-minute rounds with 1 minute of rest, up to 10 rounds.
How long are MMA and Muay Thai rounds?
Professional MMA rounds under the widely used unified rules are 5 minutes with 1 minute of rest: 3 rounds for most fights and 5 rounds for title or main-event fights. Muay Thai is usually 5 rounds of 3 minutes, with 2 minutes of rest in many rule sets. Kickboxing commonly uses 3-minute rounds. Rules vary by promotion and commission, so check your event's rules.
What is the 10-second clapper?
In boxing gyms a clapper or knock sounds about 10 seconds before the end of each round so fighters know to finish strong. This timer plays a wooden clap at the warning time you choose (10 seconds by default). Set the warning to 0 to turn it off.
What do the different bell rings mean?
One ring starts a round. Two rings end a round and start the rest period. Three rings mean the last round is finished. If you turn the bell off, the color display and optional voice still show every change.
Does the timer keep time if I switch apps?
The timer is based on the system clock, not on counting ticks, so it stays accurate when the tab is in the background and catches up when you return. Browsers may delay sounds in background tabs, so keep the page visible (and use Keep screen awake) during training.
Can I use it for shadowboxing, bag work or HIIT?
Yes. Use the Heavy bag preset (2:00 work / 0:30 rest × 6) or enter any round length from 5 seconds to an hour, rest from 0 seconds and up to 50 rounds. For complex multi-set circuits the separate interval timer offers sets and cool-downs.
Why don't I hear the bell?
Browsers only allow sound after you interact with the page, so press Start fight or Play bell first. Check that the volume slider and your device are not muted. Sounds are generated in the browser, so nothing needs to download.
