Keep every date you're waiting for on one live dashboard: holidays, trips, birthdays, exams and deadlines. Each countdown shows days, hours, minutes and seconds plus a progress bar, saves automatically in your browser and can be shared with a single link.

Countdowns are saved in this browser only (localStorage). The share link contains the whole list, so nothing is uploaded.

How to use the Multiple Countdowns
Look at the examples: on your first visit the dashboard shows a few sample countdowns you can edit or delete.
Add a countdown: press + Add countdown, type a title, pick an emoji, the date and time, and optionally the date the progress bar should count from.
Arrange the dashboard: sort by soonest or A–Z, or choose My order and move cards with the arrows; turn seconds on or off.
Share it: press Copy share link and send it; the other person sees the same countdowns and can save them.
Keep it safe: everything saves automatically in this browser; download a .json backup to move your list to another device.
How the countdown math works
For each event the dashboard takes the remaining time in seconds, s = ⌈(event − now) ÷ 1000⌉, and splits it into whole units:
days = ⌊s ÷ 86,400⌋ · hours = ⌊(s mod 86,400) ÷ 3,600⌋ · minutes = ⌊(s mod 3,600) ÷ 60⌋ · seconds = s mod 60
Rounding up means the display reaches 00 exactly at the event moment rather than one second early. When seconds are hidden, minutes are rounded up too, so "0 days 00 hours 01 min" means less than one minute is left.
The progress bar is progress = (now − start) ÷ (event − start) × 100%, clamped between 0% and 100%. Choose a meaningful start date to make it tell a story:

How much of the year has passed
Vacation or trip
The day you booked it
How far through the wait you are

Ideas for your countdown dashboard
Family board: birthdays, school holidays and the next trip, shared with everyone by link and opened full screen on a tablet.
Team board: release dates, sprint ends and conference talks; sort by soonest so the next milestone is always first.
Student board: each exam with its own color and the assignment date as the start, so the bar warns you when time is running out.
Event planning: the wedding date plus deadlines for invitations, venue payments and RSVPs.
Tip: links get long with many events. If a messaging app cuts the link off, download the JSON backup and send the file instead; it can be loaded with Import backup.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my countdowns saved?
In your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed. Clearing your browsing data or using a private window removes them, so download a JSON backup or keep a share link if the list matters to you.
How does the share link work?
The link contains the entire list (titles, emojis, dates, colors) encoded after the # sign of the address. Browsers don't send that part of a URL to the web server, so the list travels only between you and the person you send it to. When they open it, they can view it or save it to their own browser.
What happens with time zones when I share?
Each event is stored as one exact moment. If you set an event for 8:00 PM in New York and share it, a friend in Los Angeles sees it at 5:00 PM their time and both countdowns reach zero at the same instant. The date line on each card is shown in the viewer's local time.
What does the progress bar measure?
The share of the waiting period that has already passed: (now − start) ÷ (event − start) × 100. The start is the 'Progress counted from' date you enter, or the moment you created the countdown if you leave it empty. For example, a New Year countdown counted from January 1 doubles as a year-progress bar.
Are the countdowns accurate across daylight saving changes?
Yes. The remaining time is calculated from real elapsed milliseconds, so a day containing a clock change is counted with its true length (23 or 25 hours). The event time itself is fixed in your local time when you create it.
What happens when a countdown reaches zero?
If the page is open, the card pulses and a short notification appears. Afterwards it shows how long ago the event happened, and finished events move to the bottom when sorting by soonest. Tick Hide finished to remove them from view without deleting them.
Can I show the countdowns on a big screen?
Press Open full screen. The toolbar and buttons disappear and the numbers get larger, which works well on a TV, an office monitor or a classroom projector. Press Esc to leave full-screen mode.
