Pick one of 20 looks, from classic black and white and sepia to teal-and-orange cinematic and faded film, fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth and more, compare with the original and save the filtered video. Everything runs on your device with GPU acceleration, so your video is never uploaded.

What each adjustment does
Adjustment
What it changes
Tip
Brightness
Adds or removes the same amount of light everywhere
Small amounts only; large values wash out blacks
Exposure
Multiplies the light like a camera stop (±1.5 EV)
Best fix for a video that is too dark or too bright
Contrast
Spreads tones away from or towards mid grey
+10 to +25 gives most phone footage more punch
Saturation
Colour intensity; −100 is black and white
Skin looks unnatural above about +40
Warmth / Tint
Shifts white balance towards orange/blue and green/magenta
Cancel a blue cast from shade or an orange cast from indoor light
Hue shift
Rotates every colour around the colour wheel
For creative effects; ±180° swaps colours with their opposites
Fade
Lifts the blacks and lowers the whites for a matte film look
15 to 30 for a soft, nostalgic look
Vignette
Darkens the corners
Draws the eye to the centre of the frame
Grain
Adds random film-like noise to every frame
Grain makes files larger, keep it low for small files
Sharpen
Increases local edge contrast
Helps slightly soft footage; too much creates halos
How the black and white and sepia filters work
Black and white converts each pixel to its luminance with the Rec. 709 weights used for HD video: Y = 0.2126 R + 0.7152 G + 0.0722 B. Green counts most because our eyes are most sensitive to it, which is why a simple average of R, G and B looks wrong. The sepia filter uses the classic sepia tone matrix, mapping each colour to warm brown tones: R' = 0.393R + 0.769G + 0.189B, G' = 0.349R + 0.686G + 0.168B, B' = 0.272R + 0.534G + 0.131B.
Colour grading tips
Correct first, then style: fix exposure and white balance with Exposure and Warmth before choosing a creative look.
Use the Strength slider to tone down a preset rather than stacking extra adjustments.
Keep the same filter on every clip of a project so they look like they belong together.
Check skin tones in the compare view: if faces turn grey, green or orange, lower Saturation or the Strength.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a video black and white?
Open the video and click the B&W filter, or Noir for a high-contrast look with a vignette. You can also drag Saturation all the way to the left. Then press Apply filter & save video and download the result. The sound is kept unless you untick Keep the original sound.
Will the saved video look exactly like the preview?
Yes. The preview and the export use the same GPU shader, so colours, vignette and grain are identical. Only the grain pattern changes randomly from frame to frame, like real film grain.
Why does saving take as long as the video?
The browser plays the video in real time while drawing every filtered frame and records the result with the MediaRecorder API. A 2 minute video takes about 2 minutes. Keep the tab open and visible while it renders.
Which formats can I save?
MP4 with H.264 video in Chrome, Edge and Safari, and WebM (VP9 or VP8) in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. If your browser can't make MP4, the option is marked as not supported and WebM is used.
What is the difference between brightness and exposure?
Brightness adds the same amount of light to every pixel, which lifts dark areas and can make blacks look grey. Exposure multiplies the light, like opening a camera's aperture: bright areas brighten more than dark ones and blacks stay black.
What does the teal and orange look do?
It pushes the shadows towards teal and the highlights, where skin tones usually are, towards orange. The two colours are opposite on the colour wheel, so people stand out from the background. It is one of the most common colour grades in films and trailers.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video is decoded, filtered and encoded entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and no watermark is added.
