Type your text to get fancy Unicode fonts for display names, bios and channel names, and the same text with Discord markdown (bold, underline, spoilers, headings, code blocks) ready to paste into chat.

Discord markdown formatting
The app turns these codes into formatting after you send the message.
More text styles
Works in Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, Discord, YouTube and most apps that accept emoji. These are Unicode characters, not formatting, so screen readers may not read them as normal words: use them for short decorative text.

Press Copy next to the style you like.
Paste it into your bio, caption, post, comment or chat.
Discord fonts and formatting
Apps like this one have no font menu, so the generator swaps each letter for a look-alike character from Unicode, mostly from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (bold, italic, script, Fraktur, double-struck, monospace and sans-serif alphabets) and the Enclosed Alphanumerics blocks (circled and squared letters). Because they are real characters, not formatting, the style survives copy and paste. The trade-off: search, hashtags and screen readers may not read them as normal words.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between fancy fonts and Discord markdown?
Markdown like **bold** is formatting that Discord renders in messages only. Unicode fonts are special characters, so they also work in places without markdown, such as display names, bios, server and channel names.
Can I use fancy fonts in my Discord username?
Since 2023 Discord usernames can only use lowercase letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Your display name and server nickname accept Unicode fonts.
How do I make spoiler text on Discord?
Wrap the text in two vertical bars: ||secret||. Readers click it to reveal it. The markdown card above adds the bars for you.
How do headings and subtext work?
Start a line with # , ## or ### for big, medium and small headings, or -# for small grey subtext. They only work at the start of a line in a message.
Do fancy fonts work in channel names?
Text channel names are lowercase and turn spaces into dashes, but many Unicode letters and symbols are allowed, so bold, double-struck and small caps styles are popular for channels.
Is styled text accessible?
Screen readers may read each styled letter by its Unicode name or skip it, so use fancy fonts for a few decorative words and keep important information in plain text.
