How to use the Instagram Font Generator
Type or paste your text into the box.
Compare the styles: the main Instagram font version is at the top, other variations below it.
Press Copy next to the style you like.
Paste it into your bio, caption, post, comment or chat.
Where Instagram fonts work
Apps like this one have no font menu, so the generator swaps each letter for a look-alike character from Unicode, mostly from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (bold, italic, script, Fraktur, double-struck, monospace and sans-serif alphabets) and the Enclosed Alphanumerics blocks (circled and squared letters). Because they are real characters, not formatting, the style survives copy and paste. The trade-off: search, hashtags and screen readers may not read them as normal words.

Frequently asked questions
How do I change the font in my Instagram bio?
Instagram has no font menu for bios. Type your text here, copy a style and paste it into Edit profile > Bio. The look comes from Unicode characters, so it stays after you save.
Can I use fancy fonts in my Instagram name?
Yes, the Name field (up to 30 characters) accepts most Unicode styles. Your @username can only contain letters, numbers, periods and underscores, so fancy fonts do not work there.
Which Instagram font is the most readable?
Bold sans-serif matches Instagram's own font and is the easiest to read on a small screen. Cursive and Fraktur look decorative but are harder to read in long text.
Do styled fonts count as more characters?
Instagram counts each styled letter as one character, but frames and symbols add to the 150-character bio limit and the 2,200-character caption limit.
Why do some letters show as boxes?
A few old phones do not have every Unicode character. Modern iPhone and Android devices show all the styles here.
Is styled text accessible?
Screen readers may read each styled letter by its Unicode name or skip it, so use fancy fonts for a few decorative words and keep important information in plain text.
