Pick a ready-made Unicode divider from the gallery or build your own: choose a line pattern, a center symbol or word and how long each side should be. The right side is mirrored automatically so brackets and wings face the right way.

Click a divider's Copy button, or Edit to load its center symbol into the builder. Symbols are plain Unicode text, so they paste into bios, captions, Discord, Notion, documents and chats. A few rare symbols may show as boxes on older devices.

How to use the Text Divider Generator
Browse the gallery and filter by category, such as Stars & sparkles or Hearts & flowers.
Press Copy on any divider to copy it to your clipboard.
Or build your own: choose a line pattern, how many times it repeats on each side and a center symbol or word.
Add end caps and keep Mirror on so the right side faces inward.
Copy the divider and paste it between sections of your bio, post, server channel or document.
Popular divider symbols and where they come from

Tips for good-looking dividers
Keep it short on mobile. A divider that wraps onto two lines looks broken. Aim for about 20 to 30 characters in bios and captions.
Match the mood of your text. Plain lines suit professional notes and documents; stars, hearts and flowers suit personal profiles and fan pages.
Reuse one style. Using the same divider between every section makes a profile or server look designed rather than random.
Avoid too many emoji. Emoji are drawn differently on every platform and add to character counts; symbol characters stay more consistent.
Remember screen readers. Assistive technology may read each symbol aloud, so use dividers sparingly and never put important information inside them.
How the builder works
The builder repeats your line pattern the chosen number of times to make the left half, then creates the right half as a mirror image: the characters are reversed and paired symbols are swapped, so «─· becomes ·─». The center symbol or text goes in the middle with an optional space on each side, and the end cap is added to the outside of both halves (mirrored on the right). Characters are counted as Unicode code points, which is how most bio and caption limits are measured.
Frequently asked questions
What is a text divider?
A text divider is a line made of Unicode characters, such as ─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───, used to separate sections in places that only accept plain text: social media bios, captions, Discord channels, forum posts, notes and documents.
Why do some dividers look different on my phone?
Each device draws symbols with its own fonts, so line characters may be longer or shorter and emoji look different on Apple, Android and Windows. Very rare symbols can appear as empty boxes on older systems. The minimal and star dividers use widely supported characters.
How do I make a divider fit the screen width?
Reduce Pattern repeats per side until the divider fits on one line on your phone. Mobile apps wrap long lines, which breaks the look, so 10 to 15 characters per side is a safe range for bios and captions.
What does Mirror the right side do?
It reverses the right half and swaps paired characters, so « on the left becomes » on the right and ʚ becomes ɞ. That keeps brackets, wings and arrows pointing toward the center.
Can I put words in the middle of a divider?
Yes. Type any text in the Center box, for example About me or Chapter 1, and it appears between the two line halves.
Do dividers count against character limits?
Yes. Every symbol is a character, and some emoji count as two or more on platforms that measure UTF-16 length. The builder shows the count so you can check it against a bio limit.
Are these dividers free to use?
Yes. They are combinations of standard Unicode characters, which anyone can use in any text.
