How to use the Road Crossing Game
Press Start game or Enter. Your frog starts on the grass at the bottom.
Hop one square with the arrow keys or W A S D. On a phone, swipe in any direction, tap the board to hop forward, or use the arrow buttons below it.
Cross the road by timing your hops between vehicles, then rest on the middle strip of grass.
Cross the river by hopping onto logs and turtles. Falling in the water, drifting off the edge or standing on a diving turtle costs a life.
Land in an empty home at the top before the timer runs out. Fill all five homes to clear the level; grab coins for bonus points.
Lanes and hazards
The board has 13 rows. The bottom and middle grass strips are always safe. Everything else either wants to run you over or will let you sink.

Tips for crossing faster
Use the middle strip. Stop on the median grass, look at the river and pick a path before you leave it.
Ride, then hop. Logs move you sideways. Let a log carry you until you are in line with the next log or the home you want.
Fill the outer homes first. The middle home is the easiest to reach from any log, so save it for last.
Mind the clock. Each second left when you reach a home is worth 5 points, but rushing on the river is the most common way to lose a life.
Watch for flashing turtles. A lighter, blinking turtle group is about to dive.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play the road crossing game?
Move your frog one square at a time from the bottom of the screen to one of the five homes at the top. First cross five lanes of traffic without being hit, then cross five lanes of river by jumping on logs and turtles. When all five homes are filled you move to the next, faster level.
What are the controls?
Use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D to hop up, left, down and right. On touch screens you can swipe in a direction, tap the board to hop forward, or press the large arrow buttons under the board. Press P or Esc to pause.
How do you lose a life?
You lose a life if a vehicle hits you, if you land in the water, if a log or turtle carries you off the side of the screen, if you stand on turtles when they dive, if you hit the hedge between homes or jump into a home that is already full, or if the timer runs out. You start with 3 lives.
How does scoring work?
You get 10 points for each new row you reach in a life, 50 points per coin, 200 points for reaching a home plus 5 points for every second left on the timer, and a 1,000 point bonus for filling all five homes.
Why do the turtles disappear?
From level 2 one group of turtles in each turtle lane dives underwater for a moment. They flash a lighter color shortly before they sink, which is your warning to hop off.
Is this the original Frogger?
No. It is an original browser game inspired by the classic road-and-river crossing arcade genre that Frogger (Konami, 1981) made famous. The graphics, levels and code are all new.
