How to use the Math Quiz Game

  1. Choose the operations you want to practise by toggling +, −, × and ÷.
  2. Pick a level and a round length: 30 s, 60 s, 2 minutes or untimed Practice.
  3. Press Start quiz and type the answer to each question, then press Enter or Answer.
  4. Build a streak: five correct answers in a row double your points and ten triple them. A wrong answer or a skip resets the streak.
  5. Review your round: see your score, accuracy and every mistake with the right answer, then play again to beat your best.

What each level asks

2 · Easy1–20 ± 1–201–10 × 1–10÷ 1–10, answers 1–1020
3 · Medium10–99 ± 10–992–12 × 2–12÷ 2–12, answers 2–1230
4 · Hard100–999 ± 100–99911–99 × 2–9÷ 2–12, answers 11–9940
5 · Expert1,000–9,999, negatives allowed11–99 × 11–99÷ 11–25, answers 11–5050

Subtraction never gives a negative answer below level 5. Streak multipliers (×2 from 5 in a row, ×3 from 10 in a row) apply on top of the points shown.

Mental math tricks that save seconds

  • Round and adjust: 47 + 38 = 47 + 40 − 2 = 85.
  • Count up to subtract: 503 − 487: from 487 to 500 is 13, plus 3 is 16.
  • Multiply by 9: multiply by 10 and subtract once: 9 × 46 = 460 − 46 = 414.
  • Multiply by 5: halve the number and multiply by 10: 5 × 68 = 34 × 10 = 340.
  • Split two-digit products: 23 × 14 = 23 × 10 + 23 × 4 = 230 + 92 = 322.
  • Squares near 50: 48 × 52 = 50² − 2² = 2,500 − 4 = 2,496.
  • Divide using the times table backwards: 96 ÷ 8 → "8 times what is 96?" → 12.

How fast is fast?

Correct answers in 60 s (level 2, all four operations)Rating
Under 10Getting started – try Practice mode first
10–19Solid – most facts are known
20–29Quick – facts are mostly automatic
30–39Very fast – about 2 seconds per answer
40+Lightning – time to move up a level

Short daily rounds work better than one long session: five minutes a day of timed recall builds fluency faster than an hour once a week.

Frequently asked questions

How are points calculated?

Each correct answer is worth 10 points × the level number. Your streak multiplies that: answers 1–4 in a row score ×1, answers 5–9 score ×2, and from the 10th correct answer in a row they score ×3. So on level 2, ten straight correct answers are worth 4 × 20 + 5 × 40 + 1 × 60 = 340 points.

What do the levels include?

Level 1 uses numbers up to 10, level 2 numbers up to 20 and times tables to 10 × 10, level 3 two-digit sums and tables to 12 × 12, level 4 three-digit sums and 2-digit × 1-digit products, and level 5 four-digit sums, subtraction with negative answers, and 2-digit × 2-digit products.

Are division answers always whole numbers?

Yes. Division questions are built backwards from a multiplication fact, so the answer is always a whole number with no remainder, for example 84 ÷ 7 = 12.

Is there a mode without a timer?

Yes. Choose Practice for an untimed session. Your streak and score still count, and you can stop at any time with Finish practice to see your summary and mistake review.

Can I pause a timed round?

Yes. Press Pause or Esc. The question is hidden while paused so the time can't be used to work out the answer, and the clock resumes where it left off. Switching tabs pauses automatically.

Is this suitable for kids?

Yes. Levels 1 and 2 match early primary school number facts, and level 3 covers the full 12 × 12 times tables. There are no ads inside the game area, no sign-up and nothing is uploaded.
