Clear the pyramid by removing pairs of uncovered cards that add up to 13. Kings count 13 and go on their own. Use the draw pile when you run out of pairs, and plan ahead: some cards are buried deep.

How to use the Pyramid Solitaire
Look for pairs that add up to 13 among the uncovered cards: A = 1, J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13 and number cards count their value. For example 9 + 4, 7 + 6, Q + A, J + 2.
Click two cards to remove them (or drag one card onto the other). A King is removed on its own with one click.
A pyramid card is uncovered when both cards overlapping it from the row below are gone. Only uncovered cards and the top card of the waste pile can be played.
Click the draw pile to turn a new card onto the waste pile. When the draw pile is empty you can turn the waste over again, if you have passes left.
Clear all 28 pyramid cards to win. Stuck? Use Hint or Undo, or start a new game.

Pyramid Solitaire strategy tips
Look before you pair. If two different cards could pair with the waste card, choose the one that uncovers more cards, usually the one lower in the pyramid that blocks two cards above it.
Watch for blocked pairs. A card can never be paired with a card that lies directly under it in the pyramid, because one must be removed before the other is free. Spot these early and plan to remove one of them with a card from the draw pile.
Work on both sides. The top card needs every row below it cleared. Spread your removals across the pyramid rather than digging only one side.
Use the draw pile wisely. Before turning a new card, check every uncovered card and the waste card for a pair. Each card you skip may not come back if you are playing with limited passes.
Remember the order. The draw pile keeps its order on each pass, so with 3 passes you can plan which card will turn up when.
Frequently asked questions
What are the rules of Pyramid Solitaire?
28 cards are dealt face up in a pyramid of 7 rows, each row overlapping the one above. The other 24 cards form the draw pile. You remove pairs of uncovered cards whose values add up to 13 (Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12) and Kings by themselves. A card is uncovered when no card from the row below overlaps it. You win by removing every card in the pyramid.
Which cards add up to 13?
The pairs are Ace + Queen, 2 + Jack, 3 + 10, 4 + 9, 5 + 8 and 6 + 7. Kings are worth 13 on their own and are removed with a single click.
Can I pair the waste card with a pyramid card?
Yes. The top card of the waste pile is always available, so you can pair it with any uncovered pyramid card. Only the top waste card is playable; the cards under it become available when it is removed.
How many times can I go through the draw pile?
You choose: 1 pass (the hardest, as in many strict rule sets), 3 passes (two redeals, the most common setting) or unlimited passes. When the draw pile is empty, click it to turn the waste pile over and start a new pass.
How is the score calculated?
Each pair or King removed scores 5 points. Clearing a whole row of the pyramid adds a 25-point bonus, and clearing the pyramid adds 100 points. Undoing a move takes back its points.
Is every Pyramid Solitaire game winnable?
No. Many deals can't be won because cards that need to be paired with each other are stacked on top of one another. Your chances are better with more passes through the draw pile and by thinking about which cards each pair will uncover before you play it.
