Word Connect Game
Slide your finger or mouse across the letters on the wheel to spell words. Every word that belongs in the mini crossword drops into place; extra real words count as bonus words and earn coins you can spend on hints. Levels get longer as you go, from 4 letters up to 7.

How to use the Word Connect Game
- Look at the crossword: each row or column of boxes is a word made only from the letters on the wheel.
- Drag across the letters to spell a word and let go to submit it. Slide back to the previous letter to undo it. On a keyboard, type the letters and press Enter.
- Fill the whole crossword to finish the level and earn coins. Words not in the crossword but in the dictionary are bonus words.
- Stuck? Press Shuffle to see the letters in a new order, or spend 20 coins on a Hint to reveal a letter.
- Press Next level to continue. Your progress is saved, so you can come back later.
How the levels grow

Tips for finding every word
- Find the long word first. The longest row or column uses every letter on the wheel. Once you have it, the shorter words are often pieces of it.
- Use the crossword shape. Count the boxes: if a word crosses a letter you already know, you know where that letter goes.
- Try plurals and endings. If there is an S on the wheel, many words have a plural form. Look for -ER, -ED and -ING patterns too.
- Swap vowels. Words like BAT, BET, BIT and BUT differ only by the vowel; try each vowel on the wheel in the same spot.
- Shuffle often. A new arrangement of the same letters frequently makes a hidden word jump out, and it costs nothing.
- Save hints for the end. Bonus words build up coins; spend them on the last word or two that you really can't see.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play a word connect game?
You get a wheel of letters and an empty mini crossword. Connect letters on the wheel by swiping from one to the next to spell a word of three or more letters. If the word is one of the crossword answers it fills in automatically. The level is complete when every crossword word has been found.
Can I use a letter twice in one word?
Only if it appears twice on the wheel. Each letter tile can be used once per word, just like tiles in a board game. Sliding back onto the previous letter removes it from the word.
What are bonus words?
Bonus words are real English words you can make from the wheel that are not part of the crossword. They are checked against a dictionary of about 100,000 words and earn 2 coins each. You can see the list with the Bonus button.
How do coins and hints work?
You start with 50 coins. Finishing a level earns 10 coins or more, and bonus words earn 2 each. A hint costs 20 coins and reveals one letter of a word you have not found yet. If hints reveal a whole word, it counts as found.
Are the levels the same for everyone?
Yes. Each level is generated from its level number, so level 25 has the same letters and crossword for every player, which makes it easy to compare notes with friends.
Does it save my progress?
Your level, coins and found words are stored in this browser only (no account). Clearing your browser data resets the game. You can jump back to any level you have already reached with the level box at the bottom.
