A word from your chosen theme appears with its letters mixed up. Tap the tiles or type to put them back in order, and solve as many as you can before the clock runs out. Words in a row build a streak bonus, and hints reveal the next letter when you are stuck.

How to use the Word Scramble Game
Pick a theme, difficulty and clock, then press Start game.
Unscramble the word by tapping the letter tiles in order or typing it. When every slot is filled your answer is checked automatically.
Tap a filled slot to take that letter and the ones after it back, or press Shuffle to see the letters in a new order.
Use a hint to lock in the next correct letter (it costs a few points), or Skip a word you can't get; skipping resets your streak.
When time runs out, review the words you solved and missed, and try to beat your best score.
Tips for unscrambling faster
Find common pairs first. Letter groups like TH, CH, SH, ER, ING, ION and ED usually stay together in the answer.
Place the vowels. Most English words alternate consonants and vowels; if you see three consonants in a row, look for blends like STR or SPR.
Think about the theme. The theme is shown above every word, so a 7-letter animal with an O, P, U and S might be OCTOPUS.
Try likely endings. Words often end in E, S, Y, ER or LE. Fix the ending and the rest gets easier.
Shuffle the tiles. Seeing the letters in a new order often makes the word pop out.
Skip and come back. In a timed round a quick skip costs less than staring at one word for 30 seconds.

Frequently asked questions
How does scoring work?
Each word is worth 10 points per letter. Every hint takes away 3 points per letter of the word (a word never scores less than 5). On top of that you get a streak bonus of 5 points for every word solved in a row, up to 50 extra points per word.
What counts as a streak?
Your streak is the number of words you have solved in a row. Using hints does not break it, but skipping a word resets it to zero. Your longest streak in each round is shown in the summary.
What if I find a different word with the same letters?
If your answer uses exactly the same letters and is a real English word, it is accepted. For example, a jumble of LISTEN also accepts SILENT. The summary shows which word you used.
How long are the words at each level?
Easy words have 3 to 5 letters, Medium words 6 or 7 letters and Hard words 8 letters or more, such as CROCODILE or WATERFALL.
Is this game good for kids and classrooms?
Yes. All words are everyday, family-friendly vocabulary grouped by topic, and the untimed practice mode lets younger players work at their own pace. Themes like science, jobs and music can match a lesson topic.
What is the difference between this and a word unscrambler?
This is a game: you solve the jumbled word yourself. A word unscrambler is a solver that lists the words you can make from your letters, which is useful for checking answers but not for playing.
