Launch the ball, keep it alive with the flippers and rack up points on bumpers, lanes, drop targets and the ramp. Knock down all three targets to light multiball, then shoot the ramp for jackpots.

How to use the Pinball Game
Press Start game. The ball waits in the shooter lane on the right.
Hold Space (or the Hold to launch button) to pull the plunger back, and let go to fire. The longer you hold, the harder the shot.
Flip with Z and / (or the arrow keys, the Shift keys, or tap the left and right half of the table on a touch screen).
Light multiball: knock down all three orange drop targets on the left, then shoot the ball up the ramp on the right.
Keep the ball out of the drain between the flippers and the outlanes at the sides. You have 3 balls.
Pinball tips that actually work
Don't flail. Flipping when the ball isn't near a flipper does nothing useful and can bounce a ball you could have caught straight into the drain.
Hit the ball late to aim across. A ball struck near the tip of the flipper goes toward the center; a ball struck near the base goes across to the opposite side. With the left flipper, a late hit sends the ball up the right side toward the ramp.
Trap the ball. Hold a flipper up as the ball rolls down it and the ball settles in the corner between flipper and inlane guide. Now you can let it roll and pick your shot instead of reacting.
Use the inlanes. A ball coming down an inlane (the lane just outside each flipper) lands on that flipper and is easy to control. A ball in an outlane (the far left or far right) is gone, so watch the slingshots.
Light multiball, then aim for the ramp. The ramp is worth 1,500 every time and 5,000 during multiball, so it's the main scoring shot.
Plunge softly sometimes. A weak plunge drops the ball into the top lanes area more slowly, which gives you time to use lane change.
The table is simulated 16 times per frame (about 960 steps a second at 60 fps) so even a fast ball can't slip through a wall. Gravity pulls the ball down the tilted playfield, and each collision reflects the ball's speed off the surface with some energy lost. Flippers are rotating capsules: the speed of the flipper surface at the contact point is added to the ball, which is why a ball hit near the tip flies faster than one hit near the pivot. Bumpers and slingshots add an extra kick on top of the bounce.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play pinball?
Launch the ball into the table with the plunger, then use the two flippers at the bottom to hit it back up whenever it comes down. Every bumper, lane, target and ramp you hit scores points. The ball is lost when it falls between or beside the flippers, and the game ends after your third ball.
What are the controls?
Left flipper: Z, Left Shift or the left arrow. Right flipper: slash (/), Right Shift or the right arrow. Hold Space or the down arrow to pull the plunger and release to launch. P pauses. On phones and tablets, touch the left or right half of the table to flip, and hold the Hold to launch button.
How do I start multiball?
Knock down all three orange drop targets on the left side. The MULTIBALL light starts flashing. Then shoot the ball into the ramp entrance on the upper right, marked with an arrow. Two extra balls are launched, and every ramp shot during multiball scores a 5,000-point jackpot.
How does the bonus multiplier work?
Roll through all three top lanes to complete them. Each completed set adds 1,000 points and raises the bonus multiplier by one, up to 5×. When a ball ends you get an end-of-ball bonus (1,000 per completed lane set, 500 per ramp and 200 per drop target), multiplied by your multiplier. The multiplier resets for the next ball.
What is lane change?
Pressing a flipper shifts the lit top lanes left or right. Use it while the ball is up top to move an unlit lane under the ball and finish the set faster.
What is ball save?
For the first 8 seconds after you launch a new ball (and for a while after multiball starts) a drained ball is returned to the plunger at no cost. BALL SAVE flashes at the bottom of the table while it is active.
Is my high score saved?
Yes. Your best score is stored in your browser's local storage on this device, so it is still there next time you open the page. Nothing is sent to a server.
