Drop each sliding block onto the tower with a single tap. Whatever hangs over the edge is sliced off, so the tower gets narrower with every miss. Land perfect drops to keep it wide and score bonus points.

How to use the Stack Tower Game
Press Start game (or tap the board, or press Space).
Watch the block slide across the top of the tower. It alternates direction every level.
Tap, click or press Space to drop it. Any part that overhangs the block below is sliced off.
Aim for perfect drops. A drop that lines up almost exactly snaps into place, scores a bonus, and after three in a row the block starts to grow back.
Keep going until you miss completely. Your score is the number of blocks stacked plus bonuses; your best is saved.

What happens
Effect
Block lands partly on the tower
+1 point. The overhang is sliced off and the next block is only as wide as the part you kept.
Perfect drop (lined up within about 3% of the block size)
+2 points. Nothing is cut and your combo goes up by one.
3rd and later perfect drop in a row
The block also grows back a little along the direction it was sliding, up to its starting size.
Any imperfect drop
Resets the combo to zero.
Block misses the tower completely
Game over. Your best score is kept in this browser.
Tips for a taller tower
Watch the edge, not the middle. Time your tap for the moment the leading edge of the sliding block lines up with the edge of the block below. It is easier to judge than the centre.
Find a rhythm. The block bounces back and forth at a steady speed, so you can tap on the beat rather than reacting at the last moment.
Directions alternate. Odd levels slide from the upper left, even levels from the upper right. Get ready for the change after each drop.
Protect the width. A narrow tower leaves almost no room for error. Early on, take the time to land perfect drops: from the third in a row the block grows back.
Speed increases with height. The slide gets faster with every block up to a top speed, so concentration matters most after about 40 blocks.
Use the keyboard on a computer. Space has less delay than a mouse click on many setups and keeps your hand still.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play the Stack Tower game?
A block slides back and forth above the tower. Tap the screen, click, or press Space to drop it. The part that lands on the block below stays, and any overhang is cut off, so the next block is only as wide as what you kept. The game ends when a block misses the tower completely.
What counts as a perfect drop?
A drop that lands within a very small distance of the block below counts as perfect. The block snaps exactly into place, nothing is cut off, and you get a bonus point. Perfect drops in a row build a combo.
Can the tower get wider again?
Yes. From the third perfect drop in a row, each further perfect drop grows the block back by a little in the direction it was moving, up to its original size.
Does the game get faster?
Yes. The sliding speed rises a little with every block you place, up to a maximum, so the higher the tower, the more precise your timing has to be.
How is the score calculated?
Each block you place scores 1 point and each perfect drop scores 1 extra point. Your best score is stored in your browser on this device only.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Press Space or Enter to start and to drop blocks, P to pause and resume, and M to switch sound on or off.
