How to use the Mini Golf Game
Press Start round. The ball sits on the white tee square of hole 1.
Aim and set power: press anywhere on the course and drag away from where you want the ball to go. The dotted line shows the direction and the longer the drag, the harder the putt.
Let go to putt. On a keyboard, use ← → to aim, ↑ ↓ to set power and Space to putt.
Avoid hazards: sand slows the ball, water costs a penalty stroke and returns the ball to where you hit from, and arrows show slopes that push the ball.
Sink the ball in the cup by the flag, then press Next hole. Your strokes are recorded on the scorecard below; copy it when you finish.

How the ball rolls
The ball slows down at a steady rate on the green, much faster in sand, and loses about a quarter of its speed into a wooden rail each time it bounces off one. Bumpers are springy and send the ball back slightly faster. The cup captures the ball only if it is moving slowly enough; a ball hit too hard can roll over the hole and lip out, just like in real mini golf.
Putting tips
Use the walls. The angle in equals the angle out, so aim at a point on the rail halfway between you and the target to bank around corners.
Lag the long putts. On par 3 and par 4 holes, aim to stop near the cup instead of going for it; a sure two-putt beats a three-putt.
Time the windmills. Watch one full turn before you putt, and release just as the bar passes the line of your shot.
Putt uphill firmly. On slopes, add extra power when hitting against the arrows and less when going with them.
Frequently asked questions
How do you putt in this mini golf game?
Press on the course and drag backwards, like pulling back a slingshot, then release. The ball travels in the opposite direction of your drag, and a longer drag gives a stronger putt. The dotted aim line and the power bar in the corner show exactly what you are about to hit. You can also aim with the arrow keys and putt with Space.
How many holes are there and what is par?
There are 18 holes. Par is the expected number of strokes for a hole: most holes here are par 2 or 3, and two of the longest are par 4. The total par for the round is 50.
What happens if my ball goes in the water?
You get a one-stroke penalty and the ball is placed back where you played your last shot from, just like a water hazard in real golf. Sand does not cost a stroke but slows the ball down a lot.
Is there a maximum number of strokes?
Yes. If you have not holed out after 10 strokes, the hole ends and 10 is written on your scorecard, so a tricky hole can never stop your round. You can also reset the ball to the tee at the cost of one stroke if it gets stuck in an awkward spot.
What do birdie, eagle and bogey mean?
They describe your score compared with par. A birdie is one stroke under par, an eagle is two under, and a hole in one means the ball went in with your first stroke. A bogey is one over par and a double bogey is two over.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. On narrow screens the course turns sideways into a portrait layout so it fills the screen, and you aim by dragging your finger. Holding the phone upright works best.
Is my best round saved?
Your lowest 18-hole total is saved in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and the Copy scorecard button lets you share a plain-text card with friends.
