How Title Case works here

Title Case capitalizes the main words of a headline. With the small-words option on, articles, short conjunctions and short prepositions (a, an, the, and, but, or, for, of, in, on, at, to, by and similar) stay lowercase, unless they are the first or last word or follow a colon. This matches the common headline style used by most publishers. Turn the option off to capitalize every word.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change uppercase to lowercase?

Paste your text into the box and click the lowercase button. Every capital letter is changed to a small letter. Click UPPERCASE to do the opposite.

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Capitalized Case puts a capital letter at the start of every word. Title Case follows headline style: short words such as a, an, the, and, of, in and to stay lowercase unless they are the first or last word.

What is sentence case?

Sentence case is how normal sentences are written: only the first letter of each sentence is capitalized, plus the word I. Everything else becomes lowercase, so you may need to re-capitalize names afterwards.

What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case?

They are naming styles used in programming. camelCase joins words with capitals (myVariableName), snake_case uses underscores (my_variable_name) and kebab-case uses hyphens (my-variable-name), which is common in URLs and CSS.

Does it work with accented letters and other languages?

Yes. The converter uses your browser's Unicode rules, so letters such as é, ü, ß and Cyrillic or Greek characters are converted correctly.

Is my text saved or uploaded?

No. The conversion happens in your browser and your text never leaves your device.
