Your document is saved automatically in this browser's local storage (not in the cloud). Clearing site data or using a private window will remove it, so download a copy of anything important. Save as PDF opens the print dialog: choose “Save as PDF” as the printer.

Tips for good-looking documents
Use real headings (Heading 1-3) instead of big bold text. Word and Google Docs turn them into a navigation pane and a table of contents.
Stick to one or two fonts. A serif such as Georgia or Times New Roman reads well in print; Arial or the default sans-serif suits screens.
Keep paragraphs short on screen: about 3-5 sentences. The live reading time (based on an average of 238 words per minute for adult silent reading) helps you judge length.
Paste cleanly. Text copied from websites can carry odd fonts and colors; use Ctrl+Shift+V or the Clear formatting button.
Back up important work by downloading a DOCX now and then, because browser storage can be wiped when you clear site data.
Frequently asked questions
Is this online word processor really free?
Yes. There is no account, trial or watermark. The editor runs in your browser and all features, including DOCX and PDF export, are free to use.
Where is my document saved?
In your browser's local storage on this device. It is saved automatically a moment after each change and restored when you return to the page in the same browser. It is not synced to the cloud, so download a DOCX or HTML copy to back it up or move it to another device.
Can I open the DOCX file in Microsoft Word or Google Docs?
Yes. The DOCX export is a standard Office Open XML file with real headings, lists, tables, links and images, so it opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs (upload it to Drive), Apple Pages and LibreOffice Writer. Fonts that are not installed on the other computer are replaced with similar ones.
How do I save my document as a PDF?
Click Save as PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens with the document laid out on pages; choose “Save as PDF” (Chrome, Edge, Safari) or “Microsoft Print to PDF” as the printer, then save. Links stay clickable in most browsers.
Can I open and edit an existing Word document?
Yes. Use Open file and choose a .docx file. Text, headings, lists, tables, links and images are imported; advanced layout such as columns, text boxes, headers and footers, comments and tracked changes is simplified or dropped.
How much can I store?
Browsers typically allow around 5 MB of local storage per site. Text uses very little, but images take more space, so uploaded images are downsized automatically. If storage is full, the status shows “Not saved” and you should download a copy.
Does it work offline or on a phone?
Once the page has loaded, writing, autosave, HTML, TXT and PDF export work without a connection. DOCX export and opening .docx files download a small helper library the first time. The editor works on phones and tablets, though a keyboard is more comfortable for long documents.
