Write Serbian in either script. Type Cyrillic with the Serbian layout, use Latin with š đ ž č ć, or type in Latin letters and watch them turn into Cyrillic as you go (ljubav → љубав, đak → ђак).

About the Serbian keyboard
Serbian uses Vuk Karadžić’s 30-letter Cyrillic alphabet, where each letter is one sound, and an equivalent Latin alphabet (Gajica). Unique letters include ђ, ћ, џ, љ, њ and ј.
Cyrillic: Serbian Cyrillic keyboard with all 30 letters: љ њ on Q W, џ on X, ђ ћ ч ж on their own keys.
Latin (latinica): Serbian Latin QWERTZ layout: š đ ž right of P, č ć right of L.
Latin → Cyrillic: Type Serbian Latin (or ASCII: ch, sh, zh, dj, lj, nj, dx) and get Cyrillic: dobar dan → добар дан, ljubav → љубав.

Tips for typing Serbian
“Пиши као што говориш”: Serbian spelling is phonetic, one letter per sound.
Use ј, not й; й is Russian.
Quotes are „like this“.
Latin → Cyrillic works for pasting too: type, then copy.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert Serbian Latin to Cyrillic?
Choose Latin → Cyrillic and type normally. Digraphs are converted to single letters: lj → љ, nj → њ, dž → џ. If you have no š đ ž č ć keys, type sh, dj, zh, ch and cj.
Is Serbian written in Cyrillic or Latin?
Both. The constitution names Cyrillic as the official script, but Latin is widely used in media and online. The two alphabets map one-to-one, which is why the conversion works letter by letter.
Where is џ on the keyboard?
On the Serbian Cyrillic layout џ is on the X key. In Latin → Cyrillic mode type dž or dx.
What is the difference between ћ and ч?
ћ (ć) is a soft "ch" sound and ч (č) a hard one, as in ћерка and чај.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything stays in your browser.
