Tips for typing Pashto
Use ګ and ښ, the Pashto forms, rather than Persian گ and ش.
Half-space (ZWNJ, the ` key) keeps parts of a word apart without a space.
Question mark ؟ faces the other way.
Right-to-left: numbers still run left to right inside text.
Frequently asked questions
How do I type ښ and ږ?
ښ is Shift+A and ږ is Shift+V in this layout. Both are also in the quick buttons.
What is the difference between ې, ۍ and ي?
ې is the "e" sound inside words, ۍ marks feminine endings and ي is the usual "i/ay". Pashto uses all three.
How do I type ګ?
ګ (with a ring) has its own key at the right end of the home row. Note that Pashto uses ګ, not Persian گ.
Can I type Pashto numbers?
Tick Pashto digits to get ۱۲۳ when you press number keys.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything stays in your browser.
