About the Georgian keyboard
Georgian is written in the Mkhedruli script, with 33 letters and no upper/lower case. Each letter stands for one sound, so the phonetic keyboard is easy to learn.
Georgian (QWERTY): Phonetic Georgian layout: letters sit on the Latin keys with the same sound (ა on A, ბ on B). Shift gives ჭ ღ თ შ ჟ ძ ჩ.
Georgian letters and where to find them
All 33 Georgian characters on the main layout, with the key that types them. “Shift+” means hold Shift (or press the on-screen ⇧ key first).

Tips for typing Georgian
Ejective consonants (პ ტ კ ყ წ ჭ) are distinct letters from their aspirated pairs (ფ თ ქ ხ ც ჩ).
Mkhedruli has no case for everyday writing. Mtavruli (capital-like) forms exist in Unicode but are used only for titles, so this keyboard types normal Mkhedruli.
Why is ქ on Q and ყ on Y?
Georgian phonetic layouts place letters by sound; Q and Y are used for sounds that have no Latin equivalent.
Is this the layout on Georgian computers?
Yes, "Georgian (QWERTY)" on Windows and macOS uses this phonetic arrangement.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
