Price list design tips
Keep it scannable. Short item names, one-line descriptions and consistent units make a list easy to compare.
Order categories by demand. Put your most-requested services first, add-ons and extras last.
Be clear about variable pricing. Use "from" for starting prices and explain in the notes what changes the price (hair length, home size, distance).
Date your prices. A "valid from" date in the notes avoids confusion when you update the list.
Use the same list everywhere. Print the PDF for the counter, post the PNG on social media and link it from a QR code on your door or business card.
Print and file tips
The PDF is rendered at about 216 DPI for letter, A4 and half-letter pages, which prints sharply on office and home printers. Print shops accept the PDF directly. The square and story sizes export at 1080 pixels wide, the standard for social media posts and phone screens.
Frequently asked questions
Is this price list maker free?
Yes. You can create, download and print as many price lists as you like with no account and no watermark. Everything is generated in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
How is a price list different from a menu?
A price list is built for services and products: it adds durations or units (45 min, per hour, per room), starting prices like "from 95" and terms at the bottom. For a restaurant or café menu with dishes and dietary tags, use the menu maker instead.
How do I show starting prices or price ranges?
Type them as text in the price field, for example "from 95", "40–60" or "95+". Every number gets the currency symbol automatically. Words such as "Free" or "Ask" are kept as they are.
Can I fit everything on one page?
Keep "Size text to fill one page" on. The text is scaled to fill exactly one page, down to a readable minimum. If the list is still too long, switch to 2 columns or a larger size, or shorten descriptions; otherwise it continues on extra pages.
Which size should I choose?
Use US Letter or A4 for printing and PDFs, Half Letter for counter cards and handouts, the square size for Instagram or Facebook posts, and the story size for phone stories and portrait screens.
What should a service price list include?
Your business name and contact details, clear category names, each service with a short description, the time or unit it covers, the price (and whether it is a starting price), plus terms such as deposits, cancellation policy, accepted payments and the date the prices are valid from.
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The logo is resized in your browser and saved only in this browser's local storage together with your price list, so you can come back and edit it later.
