How to use the Bulk Certificate Generator
Upload your certificate template (PNG, JPG or PDF), or keep the sample design to try the tool.
Enter the names: one per line, or paste/load a CSV whose first row holds column names such as Name,Course,Date.
Set up the text fields: type the text with placeholders like {{Name}}, choose font, size and color, then drag each field to its place on the preview.
Check a few certificates with the arrow buttons, especially the longest names.
Press Generate certificates to download a ZIP of PDFs (named with your file name pattern) or one combined PDF.
Preparing a certificate template
Leave the personalized parts blank. Design the border, title, logo, wording and signature lines, but leave empty space where the name, course or date will go.
Export at the final page size. A PDF keeps its own page size. Image templates are placed on a page of the width you choose, with the height following the image's proportions.
Use enough resolution for printing, about 300 pixels per inch (see the table below).
Keep text away from the edges. Many printers cannot print the outer 0.2–0.25 in of a sheet.

Data format
The simplest list is one name per line. For more fields, use CSV with a header row; the column names become the placeholders:
Name,Course,Date
Maria Lopez,Introduction to Watercolor,"October 24, 2026"
James Carter,First Aid Basics,"October 24, 2026"
Placeholders ignore upper/lower case, {{row}} inserts the certificate number (useful for serial numbers), and {{Column|text}} prints a fallback when a cell is empty. The file name pattern accepts the same placeholders, so certificate-{{Name}}.pdf gives each person a recognisable file.
Positioning tips
Positions are stored as percentages of the page, so a layout keeps working if you switch between Letter and A4.
The Y position is the text baseline (the line letters sit on), which makes it easy to line text up with a printed line in your design.
For centered names keep the alignment on Center and X at 50%; dragging snaps back to the middle.
Frequently asked questions
How do I generate certificates from a list of names?
Upload your certificate design, paste the names one per line (or a CSV with a header row) and place the {{Name}} field on the design. Press Generate certificates and every name becomes its own PDF certificate, delivered together in a ZIP file.
Can I use my Canva, Word or PowerPoint certificate design?
Yes. Export the design without the name as a PDF or as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, then upload it here as the template. A PDF template is embedded as vector artwork, so its own text and graphics stay sharp at any size.
What resolution should an image template be?
For a sharp printed certificate use about 300 pixels per inch: 3300 × 2550 pixels for a US Letter landscape page or 3508 × 2480 pixels for A4 landscape. Lower resolutions work for screen and email use.
How do I add more information, such as the course or date?
Add columns to your CSV (for example Name,Course,Date) and add a text field for each, or combine them in one field like for completing {{Course}} on {{Date}}. Values containing commas should be wrapped in double quotes in the CSV.
What happens to very long names?
Each field has a maximum width. When a name is longer than that width the font size is reduced just enough to fit, so long names never run into the border. Step through the preview to check how they look.
Which fonts can I use?
The certificates use the standard PDF fonts Times (regular, bold, italic, bold italic), Helvetica (regular, bold, oblique) and Courier. They support English and Western European accented letters; other scripts are not supported. If you want a script or decorative font, include the fixed wording in your template image and use these fonts for the names.
Are the names or my design uploaded?
No. The template, the list of names and the generated PDFs are processed only in your browser and never leave your device.
