Ways to play
Gift bingo: guests mark squares as matching presents are opened. Load the gift list, or paste items from the registry so the squares are likely to come up.
Word bingo: the host reads words from the checklist at random (cut them into slips and draw from a bowl) and guests mark them.
Kids' table: a 3 × 3 card with the Baby words list is quick enough for young guests; let them use stickers as markers.
Several rounds: play for one line, then four corners, then a full card, with a small prize each round.
Tips for a smooth game
Print one card per guest plus a few spares, and put a pen or a few candies to use as markers at each seat.
Keep words short (1–3 words) so they stay large and readable on 2- or 4-per-page cards.
Card numbers make it easy to see that each guest has a different card and to check a winner quickly.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play baby shower gift bingo?
Give each guest a card before the parent-to-be opens presents. When a gift matches a square (for example 'Swaddle' or 'Board book'), guests who have it mark it. The first person to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts 'Bingo!' and wins a small prize. It keeps guests engaged during gift opening.
How many words do I need?
A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 different words, a 4 × 4 card needs 16 and a 3 × 3 card with a free space needs 8. More words than that makes the cards more different from each other, so 40 to 60 words is a good list size for a large group.
Are all the cards different?
Yes. Each card gets a random selection and order of words, and the generator checks that no two cards in a set use exactly the same words. With a very short list it may have to reuse a set of words in a different order, and the status line tells you when that happens.
Can I use my own gift registry items?
Yes. Choose My own list and paste the items from your registry or any themed words, one per line. Duplicates and extra spaces are removed automatically. Short names of one to three words print best.
What is the host checklist?
It is an extra page listing every word in your list with a tick box. The host marks each item as it is called or opened, which makes it quick to check that a winner's squares are correct.
How many cards fit on a page?
Choose 1 card per page for big, easy-to-read cards, 2 for a good balance, or 4 to save paper. Dashed lines show where to cut.
What prizes work for baby shower bingo?
Small, inexpensive prizes are typical: candles, hand cream, mini plants, cookies, coffee gift cards or a scented soap. Having two or three prizes ready lets you play several rounds, for example a line, then four corners, then a full card.
