Paste any text and every web link is removed: http and https URLs, www addresses and bare domains like example.com. Optionally remove email addresses, @mentions and hashtags too, keep the text of Markdown links, and let the tool tidy the spacing.

Unchanged: file names are not domains
Tips
Use the [link] replacement when the sentence needs to stay grammatical, for example “More at [link]”.
Turn on emails and @mentions to anonymize chat logs and comments before sharing them.
To keep the links and remove only tracking parameters, use the URL Tracking Remover instead. To collect the links into a list, use the URL Extractor.
Check the removed items table: if something that is not a link was matched, untick bare domains.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of links are removed?
Full URLs that start with http://, https:// or ftp://, addresses that start with www., Markdown links [text](url), HTML <a> links, and, with the bare domains option, addresses without a prefix such as example.com or shop.example.co.uk/sale.
Will it remove the period at the end of a sentence?
No. Punctuation at the end of a link, such as a final period, comma, question mark or a closing bracket without a matching opening bracket, is treated as part of the sentence and kept.
How does it avoid removing normal words as domains?
Bare domains are only matched when they end in a known domain ending such as .com, .org, .net, .io or a common country code, and when the dot is not followed by more letters. Common file names like report.pdf or script.js are therefore left alone.
Can I keep the link text of Markdown or HTML links?
Yes, that is the default: [full checklist](https://…) becomes “full checklist” and <a href="…">our shop</a> becomes “our shop”. Untick the option to remove them completely.
Can it remove email addresses, @mentions and hashtags?
Yes. Each has its own checkbox. Emails are recognized before domains, so turning emails off leaves addresses like [email protected] intact.
Why would I remove URLs from text?
Common reasons are cleaning social posts or chat logs for analysis or AI training data, preparing quotes or transcripts for print, removing tracking links from copied newsletters, and anonymizing text before sharing.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser and your text never leaves your device.
